San Francisco... it's pretty cool, no?

Monsieur Periné live at SFJAZZ at home

We had a great time trekking around SF this past summer / fall, and we were so glad they are still programming amazing live music in the city. Enjoying this latin jazz through the new year...!

I heard there was some trouble in the BA over the summer.

I should have known.

Oof

I love visiting there. Have a buddy who lives in Sunset area, which is really convenient for Hardly Strictly. Love walking to Ocean Beach and hanging out. Lotsa cool stuff to see.

Oakland airport, train to Embarcadero, N Judah to Sunset....easy. Not to mention the frequent bus/trolley service to get around.

Bay Area native, lived in the heart of the City since 1987.

Am only amused when I hear square heads rag on how terrible it is.

Do me a favor, would you, if you feel that way and stay away?

And everybody who knows how great it is, love to you brothers and sisters.

Fun town, but last couple times I was down there, mostly stuck to East Bay.   Traffic sucks.

People who get their understanding of the world from Fox News think the entire city is the Tenderloin.

Must be. Quite a few performers have left their hearts there, at least that's what they claim :)

We encountered some aggressive panhandling in Watsonville, stopping for tacos on our way to Santa Cruz by way of Salinas. SF was very peaceful, and we walked all over, although we didn't spend any time in the Tenderloin. Mission District was awesome. Wish we spent more time on the west side of the city. Next time.

I think it's a great city to visit. Can't wait to see the brand new skatepark built into UN plaza next time I'm in town.

> Traffic sucks.

When I was in SF a few weeks ago, I was quite happy to leave my car parked in a garage and let a buddy of mine, who knows the city quite well, do the driving. I usually don't like the passenger's seat, but there are times when it's nice not having to think.

And obviously the music...

Not many cities with a better soundtrack than San Francisco
