SANTORINI UPDATE: We have recently passed the threshold of 1,120 earthquakes since the start of the swarm, an impressive number! Today alone, 24 earthquakes of magnitude of 4 or more have occurred, including an M 5.2 that occurred just under an hour ago and which at this moment turns out to be the most intense earthquake of the entire seismic crisis. The slow but obvious migration of the epicenters towards the northeast, i.e. to the island of Amorgos continues.

I can't imagine how many people would have been sacrificed at this point if this were happening in ancient times.
