Sawdust, Pills, Cigarette Butts in Cupcakes...

Forums:

I had this bizarre dream this morning, just too darn funny not to share.

So I've obtained a large basket of stuff from Dunkin' Donuts and I'm sitting in the library of  Dad's old house,  he's in a chair reading something.

After chewing up part of a cupcake or muffin,  I spit out a bunch of cigarette butts,  large pills,  and sawdust.  Or maybe I broke open the cupcake and that's what fell out, like a pinata.

"Look Dad,  this is the state of American fast-food manufacturing these days.  They are allowed to call all this 'Fiber'.  I mean,  look!  Entire large pills !! And who knows what they are !!"

In the dream I could see the cig filters with different colors and brand names,  and the various-sized tablets with 'Pfizer' and numbers stamped in.  Different color pills of multicolored layers,  some looked like big Horse medication.

"Really,  how can they get away with this ?? What if someone has a reaction from the medicine they're already taking and then they eat a Cupcake ??"

Then I pull the next item from the basket.  It's a bundle with a container of popcorn and some sort of paper-wrapped ice cream cone. Dad doesn't want any popcorn (teeth troubles) so I unwrap an ice cream cone. "OK,  I guess I'll try an ice  cream cone,"  he says...

Dad appears in a dream every so often.  He's been dead quite a few years now.  But I don't have any obsession with pills -- no prescription medications,  maybe the occasional aspirin every few months.  Haven't  smoked a Winston or Camel in decades.

Conclusion: You want to have sex with your mother.

CBS2’s Crystal Cruz reports that many of your favorite snacks contain such bizarre things as bug parts and there are other odd additives lurking in your food.

Instant noodles, soft drinks, frozen entrees  — they’re fast, cheap and easy.

Just know, that many pf your favorite foods are filled with items you would never suspect. And most likely things you wouldn’t knowingly put in your mouth.

Dr. John Swartzberg, of Berkeley’s School of Public Health recently examined a smorgasbord of foods, all containing weird, shocking  ingredients.

We asked mom Juliet and her daughter, Rosie, to play along with the “What is it?” game.

First up, shredded cheese.

I like to wake up early,  liek 6 AM,  have a glass of orange juice and go back to bed -- especially if it's raining out.  The most vivid dreams happen then.

The other one,  I go over to this guy's house and knock on the front door,  but it's open,  not latched.  I'm carrying a paper plate with a couple Empañadas or Samosas.  I walk in the entryway and say "Anybody home?"  and his two Samoyeds are sleeping on the floor.  So they wake up and see who just walked in,  but they know me and don't attack.

They attempt to take my food,  and I have to lift the plate above dog level.  Still one manages to take a bite from one Samosa.  Then the fellow walks in from an adjoining room carrying a box of Fender guitar parts.  There's some Strat & Tele bodies,  various electronics and  a couple of necks with frets and tuners.  I can read the decals on the pegheads and I'm trying to figure out which era of Fender guitar they are.

In real life,  that guy has only one Samoyed and I've never  been to his house.  Actually I've no idea where he lives,  but in the dream it's a typical  suburban street.  Some guy I know from dog park.  There is actually some lady with two Samoyeds,  but I've only met them once.

Plate of Mexican for a box of guitar parts? I'd take that deal.

Bump for awesome thread title

This morning there was one I could remember --

We're in an outdoor setting,  some public place as there are several Soda vending machines.  I try the 'coin return' button on each one and get some imaginary Mexican coins  back.  There's a one Peso,  a five Peso,  and a twenty-five Peso coin.  The five Peso isn't round;  it's flat but some off-round shape.

The twenty-five is a lovely coin,  very shiny and has a relief carving of a mountain range next to the ocean.  I explain to my friend Roxette "This is an accurate depiction of Tenacatitas, Mexico.  I was there and it looks just like that..."

In ordinary reality,  I do  have a friend Roxette,  and she looks the same as in the Dream,  but Tenacatitas MX  is not very mountainous.  It's on the Pacific coast with nice fine sand,  and some excellent snorkeling w/  whacky tropical fishies.
