First world problem, but such a bummer!

From what I've gathered it seems there may have been some issues with Pretty Lights fans there last summer trying to crawl under the fence; prompting the powers that be who operate this town owned facility to take a step back and re-evaluate what sort of crowds they're willing to accommodate.  This is just speculation, but if so, I think they're throwing the baby out with the bath water.  I was there the past two years and to my eyes the crowd was extremely well behaved.

Trying to avoid a repeat of 7/2/95 @ Deer Creek?  Deer Creek Music Center July 2nd, 1995. : r/gratefuldead

It was the Wooks. 1000s of balloons leftover around the venue. No bueno.

Red Rocks is <60 minutes away. Petition will do no good, that goose is cooked.

^ I didn't hear a single tank the entire time for Cheese, and I got there super early for both days the past two years.

This is not to say it didn't happen somewhere in or around Dillon.

There were a few "hipsters", but the wook factor was almost non-existent, TBH.  It was an extremely chill crowd.

But you're likely correct about it being dunzo.

Ha ha, it's actually a pretty heavy duty metal fence for half the perimeter on the reservoir side, with a relatively solid standard chain link fence on the frontage road side (with a green blackout curtain).  I've just heard rumors, so who knows for sure about crawling under or where.

What I do know for sure is that the venue has excellent sound directly outside of the venue.  You can actually see inside if you're on the reservoir side.   It's in one of the coolest spots Ive ever come across to simply chill for free if one gets shut out, so it's at least a little disturbing to think the free ride for the PL hipsters wasn't "good enough".

Woke Mob>Wook Mob

At Dead & Co. at the Gorge last summer, we watched a guy on the inside lift up a chain link fence, allowing a gaggle of wooks to crawl in underneath.

I've seen that many times at Outside Lands -  not wooks just young people who can't afford how live music is priced now.

Fuckin hippies

Ken, not to pick nits, but I think the proper term is "mooch" of Wooks...

What a shitty venue.   with all the cool places to see bands in Colorado, why go to a sprawl shed?

Are they banned from this one yet?<<<<
