We were staying at a place on the beach in Belize and it sucked because there were stingrays buried in the sand all over the place, making it dangerous to get into the water.

Druba, that looks more like an Osprey to me, but I'll take your word for it.
Bald Eagle or Osprey, I'm surprised it chose to catch a snake. I think of them having more of an appetite for seafood.
