Seasons Greetings from Hall & Oates

I could never remember which one is Hall and which one is Oates, but that's probably because I just don't care enough to try.

Well this sucks.  Never seen them but hear their live show is top notch.  Had tickets to see them in 2020, but of course that didn't happen.  Then when they rescheduled, they ended up canceling a handful shows, including Portland.  Hopefully, they will someday reunite and I will finally get to sail on the sea of smooth with Hall & Oates

Got H2O on the turntable right now

Just yesterday I asked a friend which act he has seen that far exceeded his expectations, his answer was Hall and Oats. This guy has been seeing shows in ny/nj area for about 60 years, including countless at the fillmore east.

Yes, they bring it live. Saw them at Jazzfest and they were the tightest band of the day. Top notch musicianship!

Would see them again for sure

But it seemed more of Daryl's band(he's a multi-instrumentalist) that day and John(guitar only) was a bit player for a majority of the show.

I stumbled across 'Live From Daryl's House' on youtube awhile back. It is top notch stuff. He invites musicians of all types to his house and they jam.  The production value is excellent.  It is impressive how many different styles of music Hall is comfortable with.  My two favorites so for are his gigs with Smokey Robinson and Robert Fripp.  The Joe Walsh episode is pretty fracking good too.  Just tons of great stuff. I guess he has been doing this for like 15 years now.  Who knew?  I just watched an episode featuring Robby Kieger and Ray Manzarek.  He invites old established musicians as well as up and comers.  Really recommend a listen to the Smokey Robinson episode.
