Seattle

Forums:

I'll be in Seattle 8/14-19 for work. I'll be staying in the Roosevelt district. If you have any suggestions on food/drink/etc or just want to meet up for a beer, let me know!

As far as drink, I vaguely remember my mothers breast milk at NW Hospital where I was born. Good stuff!

^ interesting observation. My earliest memories were climbing out of the crib, escaping my confinement.

No mammalian memories for me. I picked that habbit up later in life,, 5-6 years old.

I should be around then, Lager.  You'll be just north of where I'm at.

I'm down for beers.  The Big Time Brewery is a good microbrewery in the U-District.  The Blue Moon Tavern is a classic dive bar near the freeway on 45th.  It was the haunt of Janis Joplin, Charles Bukowski, and Tom Robbins.  The Andy Coe Band plays there for free most Monday nights.  He's Seattle's best Jerry Garcia interpreter.  His band is very solid.  Andy also plays with Skerik, Joe Doria, and others every Tuesday night at the Seamonster, across the I-5 in Wallingford, also on 45th.  It's a Jazz-Funk fusion gig.  If you want a nice view of Seattle, the Mountaineering Club on the top floor of the Graduate Hotel, at 45th and Brooklyn, is the spot.  Little on the pricey side though.  It's caty-cornered from the Neptune Theatre.  My record store is underneath the theatre, on the Brooklyn Avenue side.

Shoot me an email at [email protected] if you have the chance, and we can arrange a meet and greet.

Dave, I totally missed this post last year. Thanks for the info!
