I'm really interested in going to Peach Fest this weekend. Because it's a last minute decision, I'm at a loss for lodging. Anybody have suggestions? All the local hotels are sold out, and I'm not gonna camp at this Fest cuz I hear it's a drag...
Most, if not all of the hotels at the bottom of the valley sell their room through CID Entertainment packages. We've done Peach twice and stayed at the Hampton through CID. It was pricey, but worked out. They school bus you up to the mountain's base and back.
Camping is clearly not for the faint of heart. You are parking away from the mountains base, schlepping your stuff onto a bus which takes you up closer, then you schlepp your stuff again to a spot somewhere on a sloped ski trail. Both years we watched folks on Sunday morning during their "pack out" and they all looked like war torn refugees.
Not sure if there are any VRBO or AirBNB's around or if you could find a hotel at any of the surrounding towns along that highway. Might be Uber service to transport you back and forth.
Great lineup this year!
We are doing Lockn and can't swing 2 festivals of that $$ level.
