Show Us Your Fridges

Forums:

Or your Dead board, or your bulletin board. You know: The places where miscellaneousness stuff gathers in a vertical arrangement.

This one's from Earl (Mr. Sunshine State):

^ Mike was kind enough to post that from a text, since I'm a techno-spaz.

I've never been any kind of "collector", but that started about 8 years ago somehow when I got a new fridge and evolved into that. Actually holds many memories of travels, etc.. Great thread idea by Mike- c'mon, roll 'em out!

thanks for the Tiger mag Tatters!

That thread from months ago is what inspired this one, Turtle. So you got a pic?

This is part of a section of my kitchen ceiling. Not vertical as was stated in the OP but still a collection of stuff. I can't seem to take a good picture of my refrigerator.

naw sorry mike.

i choose not to show loved ones here.

the less personal data some people have about me the better.

I think that statement itself reveals a lot about you, Turtle.

judit, the "vertical arrangement" in my OP was a failure of imagination on my part. Do you mind sharing the how your ceiling got that way, and why?

Look at Strawbud with the organizational skills! Made me hungry.

Judit- do tell- how is all that stuck up there? Some nice custom work...

The ceiling is wood, like board and thin strips of batten sort of. It was Greg's idea to staple Dollar Store toys on it, but only dollar toys, and in their original packaging. We liked the colors, the shininess and the odd things like hamburger yo yos, little power tools, windup animals, musical instruments. It used to cover more of the ceiling but at some point he gave the project over to me and I reduced the size of it while continuing to add to it when I feel like it. Everything is stapled and/or slid under the batten strips. It drives kids nuts.

I'm going to have to agree with Turts on that one. There are some seriously fucked up people close by, who I don't doubt would harass me and my family if they had the chance.

I've seen that wonderful ceiling in person!  Lucky me!  smiley

I think that I may have too much confidential info on our fridge (kids' report cards, etc)...

Well, that's enough evidence to convince me that this place has some major trust issues. That's too bad. Trust is the foundation of community.

Shit- sorry you guys may or may not have such enemy's. No one's asking for personal info. I thought this place was back to a mostly peaceful dbmb, but I've been wrong many times...

Here's one of the cleanest Betty-board's I've ever heard:

Here's the side of our microwave (I don't want to show off my kids' grades)

Hey Mike, this is a great thread!

I feel perfectly fine sharing my information, but I'd need to check in with my family members before I share theirs (The fridge is mainly littered with lots a papers stuck on it, anyway).

Thanks to all who share

You people sure do put a lot of shit on your refrigerators.

I guess I missed that memo.

So that's a thing?

Where else do folks put ungainly amounts of stuff up in their homes?

Once you've had a Zone stalker or two, it changes everything. Like I said, just a few months ago I had to block a former stalker on Facebook because he was starting up again.

I fully trust 96% of the people here. It's the other 4% that's the worry.

Damn. You're in high demand, BK. Or does that mean you're worried about 1 out of 25?

Nancy, your fridge (innards, anyway) is very sensible and orderly. I like it! Mine seems perpetually dedicated to BEER at about 10-15%.

2/50

I posted the innards since the outside is stainless and bare since magnets don't stick. And come on, doesn't everyone want a peek inside? Maybe  medicine cabinets next?!

I do have a bulletin board above my desk, but I'd have to cover up all the credit card, gift cards, banking, WiFi, health care, insurance etc details. Yeah, got a few  Knick knacks, pins and photos on there too.

Fridge innards work for me. My original intent was for us to show other ways we reveal ourselves.

Looking at my fridge, I see that it's a combination of Campground Message Board/Pack Animal.  Pretty much represents how "tidy" our house is in general:

Yes -- well....uhhhh..... Lance- occasionally folks pick up souvenir magnets at different places and like to stick em on the fridge cause there's no where else to stick them

except  maybe on the hood of the car. Along with a few photos & such - guess it turns to shit at that point.

There was no memo.

Klondike, I just noticed that you and I both have the same Philzone magnet, which begs the question: Has Viva had any swag?

IMG_E1591_0.JPG

We sent sweet stickers to donors during the first couple of fundraisings. You didn't get one, Mike?

Sorry Mikey - I'm not sure what you mean. I also purchased one of the original PZ T shirts way back when - if we're gonna talk custie.

The black and white Philzone.com magnet that's on top of New York, London, Tokyo, Moab, Klondike.

I must've missed that somehow, judit.

Well, miss it no more.

Cool. thanks. There's still room on my fridge for more ungainly amounts of stuff.

the small(er) corkboard in the kitchen ...
