And looks like you were havin' a good time!

Spent some time in Oaxaca Mexico years ago. Loved it down there.

And thanx for contributing to this thread!

Malaque is north of Manzanillo. By the way, that is not me, she is my daughter.

Manzanillo, isn't that where the movie 10 was filmed?

IMG_9940.JPGYep

I'll go another one but feel this thread will die soon as most people here probably spend there cash on rock bands instead of traveling.

And cool photos pholks.

Good stuff.  I live to travel - seriously.  Work keeps me close to home for the most part, but I just have to get out of town a couple times a year, including at least one trip to southern climates.   In February, will be going down to Costa Rica and Nicaragua for eight days.   In the meantime, here are some photos from some relatively recent trips:

Agree Ken. Traveling is fun and it doesn't have to cost a lot. I've lived on $5 a day including hotels at times. Had a hotel in Nepal up in the mountains that cost 25 cents a night with the exchange rate at the time. 12 1/2 cents a piece as I was sharing it with a girl from London. I pretty much got off the GD bus in 1990 and got on the travel bus ever since. Best move I ever made. Had much more fun and adventures than any GD show.

Here's a few pics from Mysore India 1990

India and Nepal are on my bucket list for sure.  Now that I have hit all 50 states, I really need to ramp up the international travel.  Only problem is time from work.   Most I can manage is a week off a couple times a year.   That makes Mexico and Central America much easier than Europe or Asia, but I have to make those work someday.   And yes, travel doesn't have to be expensive once you get there.   The last US state I checked off was Hawaii and went there two years ago.  We camped out on the beach all six nights and one single visit to some food trucks was the closest thing to restaurants the whole time.  Think I spent $60 the whole week.   Here are a couple pics of some of the places we camped which were much nicer IMHO than any hotel on Waikiki:

Looking forward to some budget accommodations and dining on my upcoming trip to the Rio San Juan in Nicaragua.

I was lucky for a while as my sister worked for United until her layoff in 2005. She would give me passes every year which I only paid taxes on. Sometimes I flew Business or First Class if there was an empty seat. It was all standby though. I got stuck in Guatemala City for 5 days because of it. It was a smaller plane that originated in Costa Rica with a stop in Guatemala and only 1 flight a day and it was always full. Finally on the 6th day got out of there. Flew First Class that flight to LAX. Champagne, the works!smiley

Nice photo Hoover. Where did you get it??

If by "the man" you mean baby boomers and hippies looking for drugs, then yes.

the cops, not so much.

Stop playing games Hoover!

I know your a spirit who like to play mind games with people. But where did you snag my photo from. I hope you didn't something illegal for your sake!!!

You sure write differently here than the travel page the photos you posted here came from.

You also know the difference between your and you're on the site you're taking your pictures from.

Jeezus Christ. Have you been sitting in front of the black screen all morning to wait for my reaction of you posting my pic. ! minute after I post there's your reaction.

I'll ask again! Where did you get MY photo from?

Let's hope for your sake you didn't hack me!

And get a life. You are married and have kids right?

Make your own memories and photos.

Are you getting a semi from all this.

image_127.jpg....

What a loser!

He keeps posting my pics.

Where's  Judit?????

Bullshit double standard.

He must be Judit's buddy to not ban him.

Am I not allowed to post pictures I find on the internet?

Post the link Hoover.

But I'm enjoying the hacking accusations.

Yes that is me. But no way in hell you could know it was me without hacking me. There are thousands of members there and hundreds of thousands of photos. But you searched every photo and member and saw a similarity to Joe Coolio. BS!  I'll look into it after the New Year.

>>But you searched every photo

That's essentially correct. Keep talking it out and I think you'll get it eventually.

>>But I'm enjoying the hacking accusations.

Me too. I won't spoil it. Promise! smiley

I'll help Joe.  Look into reverse google image search.

or type Nepal 91 into google and the first pic you posted is one of the first to pop up and it leads directly to all your photos.

I'm pretty computer stupid.  Definitely no hacker.

I just bought a bridge in Brooklyn. Don't have any more money. Maybe next month.

hey joe, some nice photos you got here.

please share your pz handle, thanks bud.

Waiting to see some of my own photos Hoover.

I'd like to see some of my vacation to Venezuela.

And what year was I there?

Oh I 'member! This guy used to post about how "the scene" was ruined by Touch Heads. Posted photos of his travels in India. Once posted a pic of his daughter and folks got a little fresh and he was offended. Right?

Can't remember the specific handle though...damn short/long term memory loss. smiley

that's okay, doobs, he can tell us himself.

Gotcha

Here is a monkey near the beach in Costa Rica.   Carry on.

CR Monkey.JPG

Miami, Honduras. Got's tp be the coolest beach and place i;ve seen. It a sand road of 10 km. from the nearest town of Tornabe. Just empty beautiful beach all the way. You either walk, bike or wish for a car going there. No electricity or running water. But you could get ice cold beer as they brought in blocks of ice. Just basic palm huts with a Garufuna community living there on a narrow piece of sand maybe 100 yards wide with the caribbean on one side and a big lagoon on the other. Past Miami is the Jeanette Kawas National Park that goes for miles of empty beach and jungle. Jeanette Kawas was an enviromentalist who was fighting a big developer to stop the construction on this beautiful part of Honduras. She was murdered but the land was saved from big development and turned into a National Park in her name! I met her son and nephew in a restaurant in Tela once.

I've been to Miami 4 times over the years. Last time was 2006 and if was over. They had military based there then to stop poaching of hardwoods. Used to be a paradise of smoking weed all day, swimming, playing frisbee, taking cayucos into the lagoon.

Did you check out the Kurt Cobain monument down at the park.  Its right near a bridge underwhich young Cobain would do drugs, write songs, and generally brood:

Cobain Memorial.JPG

That's too bad Joe that your old haunt in Honduras has fallen on bad times.  The country is now the murder capital of the world and hear the whole country has gone to shit in recent years.

Pretty creepy posting someone else's photos.  And again, admin is calling out the one being harassed.

Yeah it's a shame Ken That place was the schnizzle. Luckily I never had any problem in Honduras. Made a lot of friends actually. I guess I kept a low profile and was a budget traveler not flashing my cash.. My last time there at a beach called Triumpho de la Cruz and a nice beach btw there was 2 locals kids killed execution style to the back of the head close to there and a few days later they arrested I think 5 cops for it. I was totally surprised by cops being arrested. But I think at the time they had a president that was trying to clean things up. Honduras has a lot of beautiful nature, but not sure if i'd go back. 4 times is probably enough.

>>Did you check out the Kurt Cobain monument?

I didn't.  Maybe I will today on my schmee cruise after work :)

True Toreup

i personally think admin shouldn't do a thing.

Since they have chosen to do so, they need to stop making this place about just the people they like. I have already seen posts that are pretty ugly, and others get banned for way less

same as it ever was

But have lot's of other Honduras or others photos if your interested.

Just an observation:

I don't know Coolio from a whole in the wall.  To me, this seems like a genuine, heartfelt thread in which he/she wanted to share some travel photos and offer an invitation for others to do so as well.  Up to a point, the thread was on subject and things were flowing.

IF Coolio got worked up over someone criticizing his daughter SO WHAT?  That shouldn't justify anyone belittling him/her and their thread.

Sure- you can post any picture from the internet, Hoover, but when you hijack a thread, call out the OP and post pictures of his/her against his/her will...well.. that's just poor form and I think most of us can see what's really going on.

>>>> but when you hijack a thread, call out the OP and post pictures of his/her against his/her will...well.. that's just poor form and I think most of us can see what's really going on.

I didn't hijack, or call anyone out.

Hoover gets a free pass Jay.

His post are very close if not worse to Tulsas.

If Tulsa posted about a dude Jacking off, he would be ripped. We all know this

it's ok, I am sure Hoover has a buddy in admin or something

My point is that neither  should go. Admin played sides on the Philzone and it was a huge fail, I would think the same will happen here

just my observation

I just wondered if those pics were actually Joes since the pictures he posted are so easy to find with a Google search.

My intent wasn't to freak joe out and make him think his computer had been hacked.  That was just a funny bonus.

Hoover is a cunt. WE ALL KNOW THIS. Plenty of travel photos to cum!

Sorry I upset you Joe.

>>< I didn't hijack, or call anyone out.

Maybe we're playing semantics, but by hijack, I mean that you successfully navigated this topic away from the OP.

I enjoy your contributions and am just offering my .02.

Hoover, you didn't learn from the Zone ?

You did the same thing there. It was really funny, but you got tossed after.

Come on man, you are smarter than that

Poor Joe, still butt hurt after all this time. They make an ointment for that, just so you know!

I AM SO SORRY I GOT OFF TOPIC ON THIS THREAD

and now I have a troll following me all over

i apologize and I won't do that again.

i hope it's clear Hoover that I have zero beef with you. I am just making a point that everyone should be able to stay here.

I apologize for saying anything at all

Fafa seems to think I am 5 people he is mad at. I post, he is there

so, I won't stop posting, but I will definitely stay on the subject and treat all with respect.

i apologize admin, Hoover and anyone else I may have disturbed or offended.

peace

oh.... this is going so well!!!!

People who don't post pix in a pic thread just want to be noticed

I enjoyed your pics Redneck as I've been there, The Alhambra is an amazing place. By chance did you make it over to the Valley of the Fallen? or see Toledo and El Greco's paintings there, good stuff indeed...

Nice photos Slacker.

Beautiful parts of the country.

brooks13plane.jpg flying home from northern alaska.....

Wow. Just discovered this. This guy has a drone video over Miami, Honduras which shows you how special this place is. Looks like they replanted a lot of trees as most were dead in 2006. It should be a national treasure for Honduras so I understand if they replanted .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDtt2YM0h-o

Wow, indeed - beautiful video!

Here's a cool documentary of Garifunas, the black people of the Caribbean coast in Central America. People in Miami are Garifunas.

Fafa - just saw your post - no didn't go there, we started in Seville, went to Granada, then to Torremolinos, then to Ronda and back to Seville.

Beautiful country!
