I always recommend Siwa to anyone going to Egypt. In 2 visits of a total 6 months I never saw the Pyramids except from a bus window. Seen enough on TV and Magszines. Plus was told it's full of hustler's giving no space. I spent a month in Cairo and took a girl from New Zealand out for the day roaming about and she said it was more fun than going to the Pyramids. The Pyramids were full hustlers.annoying her.

When I went to the pyramids in 98 I stood in awe and said wow!, the Grateful Dead played here. But otherwise it was a tourist trap that was thousands of years old that smelled of donkey and camel piss and shit of equal vintage. Still pretty cool. But I loved everything else in Egypt much more. It was heartbreaking to have to leave after 6 weeks in Jordan and Egypt.
