The Bears Ears supporters are asking people to show support for the monuments today and post pictures of their activities.
After seeing the Utah politicians meeting with Deb Haaland, I thought about going to the Utah State Capitol and holding a sign that says
"Historic. Rich patriarchal white mormon males are telling a Native American woman she needs to be considerate."
But Terry's thought about re-imagining the future has me thinking........

The media has divide, conquer
The media has divide, conquer and sell tactics. Don't fall for it. Most people are generally decent human beings who work hard and love their families and friends. None are perfect. The two party system is built for constant oppositions of our country. Once people are angry and emotional then they know exactly what to do with you. Remain calm and try to be understanding and show others respect and all is fine. If you can't find common ground then you don't have to be around those kinds of people. Simple as that.
With social media, I realize this makes it more difficult as now you can scroll through hundreds of articles a day which desensitizing but we should still try.
