people are gearing up to re-invigorate the black market since most folks will not want to pay the massive taxes, and wholesale in state is so low more growers will be shipping than ever before...if you cant find a store in the marin area check craigslist for a weed guy. it not legal to buy that way but there is pretty much no risk at all, no police departments have the resources to go after something like that.
are you going to the nelson show? i would look around for good herb at the nelson show. if i get a ticket i might be able to point you in the right direction. it is so much cheaper to buy from friends than in dispensaries its absurd. i can buy an ounce for chronic light dep OG for about the same price as an ounce of good indoor in the dispensaries.
legal weed stores are way overrated, the experience of buying weed in a store after so many years of prohibition seems like a really awesome thing to do, but at least for me it was way more boring than i expected. if you happen to be going to DNB you could get some really good stuff at a really good price from a deadhead who grew the herb themselves, which imo is way cooler than a sleek weed store. nelson crowds are HEAVILY populated with commercial growers, from little craft operation to huge gardens on multiple properties all over the state. get there early and ask around.

And that ounce – and many, many more – is expected to be sold at Harborside, founded in 2006 and is now the largest nonprofit collective dispensary on the West Coast. Doors open at 6 a.m. on Monday.
