Downloaded this today. Fun stuff. The Rikki>Cold Rain> Rikki Don't lose that # and Other One>Josie are quite good.

Do these guys ever play outside of Colorado?

Donald Fagen and the Nightflyers, "Shakedown Street"

Thx. Good stuff here.

Cool!  Downloading now.  Thanks

Yes. Thank you.

These are all real good players in their other respective bands and seems like potential for some real nice sounds. Imma peep this band tonight at the lodge. Have any zoners seen them yet?

They're playing tomorrow night at TXR.

scotty's torrent has me heading to the show tomorrow as well.  seems worth the effort

Set 1

Truckin' > Black Friday

Scarlet > Dirty Work > HCS

Night by Night > Loser

Josie > Other One

Set 2

Cold rain & snow > rikki

Shakedown > Kid Charlemagne > shakedown

Green Earrings > Samson & Delilah

Deal > Reelin > Deal reprise

Doesn't suck. High hopes for 2nd set lift off.

They were definitely hitting around the periphery of x-land last night. Enjoy

Super fun.

I Don't know these guys history, but from what i saw last night, they are solid musicians  who play well together. Two key boards really added alot of dimension. They handled the Dead stuff well and added some solid jams to the Steely tunes. I especially enjoyed the Josie>jam>Other One>Jam> Josie, 2nd set nugget, which in my mind, achieved an extended lift-off. I might have to go Moe's tonight as well,

I'm holding out for Slayer-Dead.

I like how they sprinkle little tastes of jams and other songs all over the place. Although the setlist I posted doesn’t reflect it, they really do weave in and out of songs too much to correctly annotate (and still have a good time). I heard dark star teases, viola lee jam, a Spanish jam, couple bars of alligator, among others. And their transitions are awesome. Good band!

Sounds like a Shakey concept. Combine two catalogs of music. I've been doing it for a long time and still do. Mine is out of pure love of the songs by the two artists that we pay tribute to. It's getting a bit like "show and tell" in elementary school on some of this stuff though. Fishing for dollars.

lists some band members there. dave hebert being one.

Chris Sheldon was also in Great American Taxi and Phix.

This is right up my alley.

If you like both Steely Dan and the Dead you'll prolly really enjoy this ensemble. If its just one or the other, then maybe not so much.

Just my observation from the 2 shows i went to this past week.

So much fun, right up my alley. Looking forward to their return.
