I got into Steve and the Dregs just before this trio happened. Dave LaRue was playing in the fusion band called Stretch, who were being produced by T.Lavitz. We would see them every Wednesday night at The Court Tavern in New Brunswick. Next thing you know, Dave is playing with Steve, and the next time the Dregs tour, Dave is in the bass seat.
Good times, indeed!
