I thought id shoot someone if i heard "what you need" one more time....
Thats when i called a woman i was living w at time (1986)...but, i was about to move solo from htfd to new haven for a new job...i was looking for apartments all day, and was staying overnight w family in Guilford...i called her at like one a.m. to let her know how day went..(which was plan...she knew she d hear from me very late, i was w my ailing mom, and cousins)...so, i call....she answers....all i hear is that tune....blasting in background...i ask her a few things...no answer...she s not talking to me? Is she mad? Wtf??....song keeps playing....i finally hang up....call next door neighbor...tell her to bang on our door and if "mary" doesnt answer, to knock door down......of course, so weird looking back....she did....exactly that, without thinking twice or calling back to double check, or to even ask why....she just knocked......no anser....kicked door in...
INXS still blearin....found "mary" in bathtub....bleeding out.....my neighbor calls cops....mary is saved...everything ok...right?
Right...but, the upcoming new job, and move to new haven kinda sucked, as i focused on her health.....
