What you think?

Two thumbs up. Nice concise description of it.

83 the year Jerry went full gray grizzle.

I remember seeing this when it was first run. Linda Ellerbee was a really solid journalist.

Looks like 7/30/83 at Ventura? Video shows Truckin' & Rider, both were played.

Weir on the Ibanez, came east with the pink telecaster in October.  Missed that sound ever since.

Linda Ellerbee was on of my favorite newscasters in the mid-80's.

1983, the year the bus came by for me.

It's funny hearing the 40 year old Mickey Hart asked if he'll still be doing this at 50.  He's almost 80 now.

Nice that they cleaned the cocaine flakes out of Jerry's beard.

Thanks for sharing.

I remember seeing this when it came out.  The interviewer is the great Linda Elerbee who was with NBC many years and latter ABC--she had a series of different shows on her on or as a cohost.  I think this interview was on her  NBC News Overnight program where she did several musical segments at like 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM eastern.  She was a hippie in the day.  Jerry showing the early impact of the tar.  He did an interview around this time with the great music journalist Jon Pareles and Jerry was wearing that same shirt and Pareles talking about Jerry stopping every few minutes to take some snorts and acting a bit junkie like and unkempt

Good shit! Made me smile.

Very nice video thanks for posting, KK
