What do you like to do?

Alchemist brewery in Stowe (Heady Topper) and Ben & Jerry's.  Don't forget to see the ice cream graveyard.

Burlington has Church Street, a nice pedestrian area with lots of shops.

I never made it up to that Ski resort that was hosting shows, I think DSO played there, forgot the name of the place...

BK, we like Good Music, Good People, Good Views, Good Beers, Good Weed, and Good Food.

I haven't been to Vermont since the early 90's...

Do you like good pizza served with attitude?

American Flatbread?

Are there any Ethiopian Restaurants of note?

Not that I know of. We're not quite a hotbed of diverse ethnic cuisine.

Gotcha, well I do enjoy Good Pizza.

Is the Higher Ground still in operation?

I know Sixer went to that Ski place Venue, wish I could remember the name of that venue!

Jay Peak

Ding Ding Ding  !!!

That's it smiley

Hey Blue Rose,   Think of VT as 3 States, South, Central and Northern.  I lived in Southern Vermont for 14 Years and Manchester. VT as a great anchor town for S. Vermont.  Moving to Central, we spent last summer in Woodstock/Quechee also a great area in the west/central part of the state.  in Northern Vermont,  Burlington area is a great college town, great food, music and the lake.   Where ever you go, there is great hiking, camping, kayaking,  mt biking within an easy drive.    In Burlington you have the Flynn Theater and lots of good music throughout the state.

Happy to answer and specific questions.

Nice, thanks Vt Head.

I have some old school friends from New Paltz, that still reside in Burlington..

The Brewery that China-Rider suggested sounds worthy.

Love outdoor places in general, but with Covid still lurking, that will be the way to go...

I always liked doing the Burlington Bike Path from downtown north. Pretty ride. Factory seconds from the Lake Champlain Chocolate is never a bad thing. You can also do a tour of the factory while there. The Spirit of Ethan Allen boat cruise at sunset is nice. Higher Ground is still in operation but is becoming more and more focused on college age bands. A new venue(s) in Essex, VT, The Double E Performance Center, created by former Higher Ground founder and co-owner, Kevin Statsir, books a lot of the acts I know you enjoy. Not sure when they are opening up again though.

Love old rail trails, and bike paths..

And a nice cocktail on a sunset cruise wouldn't suck.

I need more shows.

For the "Task Force."  Happy joyful travels!

RRG - checkout that sculpture park link. It's a beautiful part of Vermont, not too far from Burlington, and a great spot for a hike and picnic. While taking in some truly amazing large-scale artworks. Way above average for that kind of thing (sculpture parks). We spent about 4 hours there and could have stayed longer. They used to have small musical (outdoor) events there, also, but I don't know what the upcoming schedule is.

Sounds lovely, I will add that to the list yes

Jay Peak usually has an outdoor show or two in August (usually that is). VT is hoping to be per-Covid business as usual by 7/4 (according to the Gov anyways). It is a super cool/chill venue

I sure hope some outdoor shows might happen by then...

LIVE MUSIC IS BETTER

If your a dog lover visit the Dog Chapel at St. Johnsbury. Was there last October. Worth it if your an animal lover.

Its been over 20 years since I lived there, but if its still around, sitting on the deck by the river drinking beer at the Long Trail Brewery in Bridgewater Corners is always a nice way to spend a summer afternoon.

The Mad River Valley has more waterfalls than any other valley on earth

Shelburne Farms and Shelburne Museum, sunset cruise on Spirit of Ethan Allen, drive through Smugglers Notch, drive up the Stowe Toll Road, take the gondola up Mt. Mansfield, if you have a canoe or kayaks, spend the day at Green River Reservoir, go biking on the Lamoille Rail Trail (which passes a few breweries), Ben & Jerry's, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Burlington bike path

>>The Mad River Valley has more waterfalls than any other valley on earth

Damn, I had no idea. Speaking of the Mad River Valley, the Waitsfield Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings is fun. The Stowe farmer's market is on Sundays.
