At the time I had been on a downturn with the band, but this run, and this show in particular picked me back up.
The first night of this run gets most of the love because of the Dark Star encore, and it was good, then the Saturday show was really good too, but this blazing hot Sunday afternoon show was boots on the ground, heads down, no foolin' around Grateful Dead right from the start.
Over my 17 years of seeing that band there were multiple times I thought I was over it, and then there would be a show that grabbed me by the ears and said "NOPE! It's still THEM!!!".
