Sunday Afternoon Radio

Forums:

Kinda blows.

Two trips around the dial.  Nada.  'Fuv does like 5 straight hours of Irish music.  I have a tolerance limit of about 30 minutes.

Used to be some bad-ass R'nB/Funk out of Newark.

But maybe that was Saturday?

I'll take another spin in the 3 O'Clock Hour.

Sunday at 1:00 PT on krvm.org, Motown, R&B. Don't know what's on now.

i have The Moody Blues  On the Threshold of a Dream

playing

Might have that on vinyl, Plf.

i really like the Moody Blues !

They were my fave band before I discovered the GD.

Pretty trippy for a young, budding pothead.

wwoz.org usually has something interesting playing.

So the answer to Sunday Afternoon Radio is WFMU , 91.1 FM   http://www.wfmu.org   .  I  love Glen Jones featuring X-Ray Burns . (Noon - 3:00 PM (EST) It's 75% talk, but these guys are hilarious. A bit Jersey-centric, but they have listeners worldwide via the internet....

Following that is "Teenage Wasteland" with Bill Kelly It's all music and pretty damn good.

WFMU is one of the best free-form Radio stations that I know of. Sometimes a bit out-there, but always interesting. The shows are all archived so you can check them out 24/7.

Speaking of Archival Streams, I might as well plug my own show. We archive everything too.  So, if you have a lull period in good Live Radio, check out our  Streaming Arcihves. WBAI's "Morning Dew" has been on the Air for 30 some years, with Dead-based and beyond programming...
