I believe the Patriots will win by 6.

21-17 Eagles cover the spread

Eagles by 20 or more,,  you heard it here 1st

Tom Turkey throws 2+ INT's  and there's a lot of tears collecting in chowder bowls

What Lumber Truck said.

Eagles

Eagles take the lead in the 1st half.  Patriots pull the rug out from under them in the 2nd.

I've been wrong pretty much every playoff game so far, so take that to the bank.

Blue, I think the Patriot win, but the eagles cover the spread.

A pox on the souls of non believers. Pats Nation under God, indivisible.

Should be a good game.

snl skit last night was fucking perfect.

and i really enjoyed this article.

a sample...lol.

"Dunkin’ Donuts: Bostonians’ years of defending the watered-down piss coffee they serve turned out to be great practice for defending an indefensible football team. “There’s something about the Dunkies in Boston that’s just different!” No, there isn’t. Someone in 1948 spilled sewer water into a coffee machine in Quincy and nobody had the heart to say they were serving garbage juice. This would be the perfect #brand partnership for Brady if he didn’t think coffee beans contained ligament fiber thetans or some shit"

with equal criticism of Philly andd wawa.  lol

FANS: Insufferable Pricks vs. Volatile Assholes<<<

Not entirely sure about insufferable.

CHAIN RESTAURANTS: Dunkin’ Donuts vs. Wawa<<<

Not even in question. Wawa.

Either way......

No matter who wins.....

No matter what happens......

Hear me now.......

Believe me later......

There will be flames on the streets of Philly tonight!

The Phoenix Open is the other big event of the day.

I'll take the Pats to cover the spread today. Not exactly a bold prediction, I know; but whatever.

Philly will be engulfed in flames by halftime, regardless of the score.

Forgot I didn't have RedBull on my new Apple TV.

Sweet! Ty.

If the Eagles are up by at least 22 points, going into the 4th, they’ll win. Otherwise,  Brady will pick them apart.

Just in case anyone needs some help

No Zone Superbowl celebration is complete until Lance comes in with seven or eight paragraphs pontificating about how defenses win Superbowls blah blah 49ers blah blah <insert catch phrase> blah blah blah.

It's a tradition I've genuinely come to love & appreciate.

You're thinking of a 25 point lead, Brian. 22 is just three touchdowns and a two point conversation.

Going into the fourth, I believe the Eagles need a 17 point lead to feel safe

>>Blue, I think the Patriot win, but the eagles cover the spread.

Oh. Bummer.

Go Eagirls!

IMHO, I don't think there is a safe 17 point lead in the fourth with Brady. Ask Matt Ryan and the Falcons what they think about that.

Hoping for a good game, an Eagles win, and safe streets in Philly.

Wow, 10 years ago already. My seat at XLII.

Stood and played air guitar to Tom Petty at halftime. Patriots fans were so arrogant and hated hearing "Eighteen and one" chanted at the end of the game by Giants fans.

What a GREAT time!

Hope for today...

Of course you did, Slickrock.

That was a great game.

slickrock, do you change up your protesting attire of patagonia fleece for a helly hansen shell for football games?

Blue, I am rooting for the eagles, I come from a family of Eagles fans.

^^^^ AWESOME Lumber ! thanks !

chonks will be in the streets this evening.

I feel as a teacher it's my duty to spread truth & knowledge, so I'll do my best for you Mark.

In this case the Eagles have the better overall team, and if their great young QB wasn't hurt I think this would be a relatively easy game for them to win.

But they don't, so it probably won't be, but if they don't let the moment get the best of them and if Foles plays well, which he can, then because of their excellent defense and their overall talent the Eagles still have a real chance to take this one away from the Pats.

But I can never bet against experience and true greatness, so while the Pats defense isn't truly great they're so well coached, and overall it's that coaching greatness along with their invaluable experience in these larger-than-life games and the fact that they have the greatest quarterback who's ever played that IMO give the Patriots the edge in this one, so I'm taking the Pats.

It should be a fun one to watch, and whichever team wins I only hope it's WON, not lost by foolish mistakes or the damned refs.

Otherwise, fuck 'em all, and...

GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I think I covered all the bases, was that OK Mark?)

CHEZ!!!

Only thing more boring than the Super Bowl Itself is the super bowl pregame. My Eagles are in it this year so I’m watching, but holy shit this is boring. Just trying to stay awake at this point.

Watch golf, dude.

Who had heads?

eagles 35-31

There will be flames on the streets of Philly tonight! >>>

It's raining pretty damn hard here tonight ...;)

>>>I think I covered all the bases, was that OK Mark?

I thought it was a solid effort. Obviously it didn't reach the heights of your now iconic Superbowl 47 post, but they can't all be classics.

I feel like I can enjoy the game now. Thank you, Lance. smiley

You're welcome.

I even threw in a mixed metaphor for you, no extra charge.

And a nice start to the game. Both teams look ready to play, both stand up on the goal line.

This could be a good one.

What was the line on the game when it opened?

Nice catch.

Great catch.

2 missed extra points?

Nice execution.

OK....

I am officially a FITBALL  fanatic....yelling at the TV !!!

My mentors would be proud ((( SS,Key and DD )))....miss you guys !

The Puppy Bowl XIV is on Animal Planet right now.

I may be rigged, but it's better then Justin Timberlake.

It's Ruff vs. Fluff a rematch.

Timberlake was pretty good. His band is ace af.

Very cool tribute to Prince lighting Minneapolis up in the purple love symbol.

Philly played very well on both sides of the ball, New England's offense made execution mistakes and played generally poor, mid-level/mid-season blah defense.

If they shore the defense up it will be a good 2nd half, if not the Pats are in trouble.

that was very cool St Mark..:)  I am looking for a pic of it, hoping one will turn up !

Posted this on the other thread, but here ya go...

I saw it...thanks again Noodler.....awesome !!

That was really cool.

Good game brewing here as well.

here's JT's performance in case you missed the halftime show

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z3EUY1aXdY&feature=player_embedded

Man it sounded like those commentators wanted to drink a glass of Brady's cum.

What the fuck was up with that? Shit made me sick. Even the wife was like damn guys relax a bit.

Congratulations Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here in good ol boy country ( South Jersey )...they are shooting off their guns like crazy !!!

Congratulations  to the Philadelphia Eagles and all my friends that are diehard fans. I am so happy for all of you !!!

Just a great game all around with the perfect ending.

Fly Eagles Fly!

Eagles are champs. Beat the best player of all the time. Doesn’t get much sweeter than that. Nick Foles played absolute incredible. Beat Brady at his own game in his playground. Brady had almost 450 yds and didn’t win. Just a crazy game. Glad I don’t live in philly anymore cause that city is gonna be a massacre. Pay backs a bitch. McNabb is popping a bottle of champagne somewhere.

Great game!

That one is going down as a classic. Great game all the way to the last play.

fantastic superbowl and the Birds come out on top.  So many years on the couch watching them lose. This is sweet. The parade has already started on broad st. Pouring rain and tens of thousands going nuts. all over the towns in the burbs too.  Pretty cool for this long suffering supporter. Even better for my pops. And for the last time, I will allow myself to say "F Brady".

EAGLES!

Goodnight Green Philly....

Please give photo cred to Christopher Taylor Dantonio and @phillydroneshots on IG

Brady might have lost but he still got a no from Tom Colinsworth after the game.

Still got a BJ*

> Even better for my pops.

My pop was slinging soda in the stands at Franklin field for the 1960 championship. Happy he got to watch them win the Superbowl.

Timpane, Brady passed for 505 yards.

>>>>>McNabb is popping a bottle of champagne somewhere.

Please, he's the one Eagle who I see as never being happy for other's success.

At least his "running out of steam" in the Super Bowl wont be as big a talking point anymore

so maybe he is toasting to that.

*is Tom related to Chris?

What a game! Even in the final second Gronkowski almost caught that in the end zone and possibly pushed it to overtime! To think that the Eagles will bench Foles next season is ridiculous. That guys is a major talent. Trade him or start him.

This one might be on Belichick, WTF was he doing making his 2nd best defensive back, Malcolm Butler, a healthy scratch, whose interception beat the Seahawks 3 years ago?

He and the defensive coordinator are just giving canned responses, matchups, best chance to win, etc...

Speaking of D-Backs named Malcolm, Pats might have scored 60 if Malcolm Jenkins hadn't hammered Brandon Cooks, their only deep threat, out of the game in the 2nd quarter.

505 yds>>

really is astonishing that he lost and tossed for that many but when

you have a defense that can’t stop anybody it kinda makes sense.

lol, voodoo. I’m happy Tom jixned Brady by saying “There is no doubt in my mind that he will go

down the field and get a touchdown on this drive”. Next play was Brandon graham forced fumble. Good stuff

I was going to blabber that philly was going to win - but I didn't want to jinx em'

I knew it - I should have slapped my money down at the nearest casino - ain't a betting man though

jags had to either stifle brady or gronk - they took out gronk.

eagles had to stop either brady or cooks - they took out cooks.

Lifelong Patriots fan -- Aluminum seats at Shaeffer stadium - not a huge football fan though.

Hats off to the Phillies - they earned the win.

It'll be interesting to see whether or not the phillies bench their superbowl winning quarterback.  Pretty good problem to have.

^lm, I'll spare you the suspense, Wentz is the Eagles starting QB next season.

^^^^

will Wentz be healthy at the start of the season??

^maybe. But when healthy Wentz is the starter

It’s The Eagles not the Phillies, lol.

And just to add insult to injury.....

Burglars break into Rob Gronkowski's home while away playing in Super Bowl LII

http://www.fox25boston.com/news/rob-gronkowskis-home-scene-of-reported-b...

Gronk actually seems like a decent guy from the little I've seen of him.

^^^Smart Too^^^

That retirement talk is a good ploy for a bigger contract, his next 2 years pay is not near what the best tight ends make.  Or he could name his price with Vince McMahon....

He may actually retire. Might have gotten some

bad News from his doctor after that last concussion. That was the dirtiest play I saw all year long.

^^^^

Gronk giving the dude from buffalo the people’s elbow might have been a little worse..

"It’s The Eagles not the Phillies, lol."

Despite the lowest levels that a small segment of the philadelphia fan base of all sports sinks to, I generally enjoy and root for the phillies (as a national league team) despite that it's going to be a real long time before they play october ball.  As a pats fan - i still am having a hard time digesting that we lost to the eagles' back-up quarterback.  Although they did perform as a  cohesive unit throughout the season and appeared disciplined. There's nothing quite like driving on '95 north through phillie and listening to the call-in philadelphia baseball radio shows.  to each his/her own.  The NORTHEAST ROCKS! - (at times).
