Total up-grade to my shop today. My son hooked my computer up to my 7000 watt stereo in the shop today. Archives...Panic....Phishnet.......all LOUD at my fingertips while working.
Only problem is there is a strong buzzing sound between songs and selections. Sound quality is not as sharp as my Sirius or CD's. Do I need a filter sor something.
Max Creek is on my agenda right now but I would love a sound improvement.

Sometimes all you need is to attach a wire to the chassis of two components that need to be grounded and they will play nice.

Sounds liek the Seven
Sounds liek the Seven-Thousand Watt amp might be drawing more current from the Grid then is available.
It is probably slurping Birds and Mosquitoes toward the power lines, with an electromagnetic 5-D Tesla field.
http://www.wald-electronics.com/gear_directory/amphistory.html
From the above link you can see that Jerry mainly preferred the MacIntosh MC-2300 amp to run his various JBL xx-120 speakers in the Hard Truckers cabinets, with some other Macs and even a brief flirtation with Crest Audio.
But the MC-2300 only put out 300 Watts per channel as a Stereo unit, 600 Watts bridged to Mono, and that could make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck or steal the Face right off yer Head.
So if you've got a 7000 (seven-thousand !!!) Watt amp, that is almost like a Dozen Jerry - Rigs.
Might be part of the telephone - line difficulties you have been experiencing.
Better not turn it up to "Eleven". Be safe out there.
