Tennis

Forums:

I started a thread in The sports Folder, anyone else want to talk about what they're seeing in the tennis world?

Medvediv for the win

Thanks Judit, I'm hoping to catch some Wimbledon at some point this weekend.... will check the other thread when I do...

I jumped into the thread in Sports, thanks Judit.  Big day tomorrow!

Dave (davesnothere)

There is a sports thread!?

And I like to watch tennis. Watched some matches this week. The Murray match a few days ago was a good one.

We started playing tennis during Covid. The local courts were about the only thing open.

Even picked up some free tip while playing  next to some  pros.

Definitely has gotten me more interested in watching the sport on the TV, and our  family  has reunion plans at the French Open next year.

Coco loses again. She came out of the gate with great potential.

Hey, No (Same Day Results) Spoilers, please. There are folks who will record and watch later.

doolittle, have you found The Sports Folder? It's a folder just like Other Stuff. No same day spoilers over there also, please.

Sorry I thought everyone who likes tennis would know by now.

I'm thinking we need to choose a thread, either this one or the one in The Sport Folder to be able to talk about play with results. Anyone have a suggestion of which thread? Also posing it in Sports.

Great match happening right now on ESPN between #1 Djokovic and #10 Shapovalov. Great volleying back and forth.  Winner goes to the finals.

The Silicon Valley version of Wimbledon was not played on grass courts, we did not wear white, Nancy won, and I had fun getting back into tennis.  Thanks Nancy!

Sports talk in the Sports folder ? Are you sure ?  Seems almost as ludicrous as talking music in the Music folder.

"Then you have tennis. Tennis is very trendy and very fruity, but it's not a sport. It's just a way to meet other trendy fruits. Technically, tennis is an advanced form of Ping-Pong. In fact, tennis is Ping-Pong played while standing on the table. Great concept, not a sport.

In fact, all racket games are nothing more than the derivatives of Ping-Pong. Even volleyball is, technically, racketless team Ping-Pong played with an inflated ball and a raised net while standing on the table"

Splain Lucy!

Please tell the uncool kids in school WTF your talking about!?

I'm guessing played on an asphalt court dressed in tie dye with no injuries

In Palo Alto??

I thought Palo Alto was white bread like Beverly Hills?
