I watched Snowden last night.

>..Perhaps the starkest case in point is Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and her constituency. In December 2015, the Kremlin feted Stein by inviting her to the gala celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Kremlin-funded propaganda network RT. Over a year later, it remains unclear who paid for Stein’s trip to Moscow and her accommodations there. Her campaign ignored multiple questions on this score. We do know, however, that Stein sat at the same table as both Putin and Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, Trump’s soon-to-be national security adviser. She further spoke at an RT-sponsored panel, using her presence to criticize the U.S.’s “disastrous militarism.” Afterward, straddling Moscow’s Red Square, Stein described the panel as “inspiring,” going on to claim that Putin, whom she painted as a political novice, told her he “agree[d]” with her “on many issues.”

Stein presents herself as a champion of the underclass and the environment, and an opponent of the surveillance state and corporate media, and yet she seemed to take pleasure in her marriage of true minds with a kleptocratic intelligence officer who levels forests and arrests or kills critical journalists and invades foreign countries. Their true commonality, of course, is that both Putin and Stein are dogged opponents of U.S. foreign policy.

Indeed, her pro-Kremlin stance wasn’t limited to merely praising Putin’s amicability. Stein joined the Russian president and Kazakhstani dictator Nursultan Nazarbayev in describing Ukraine’s 2014 EuroMaidan revolution as a “coup,” and claimed, bizarrely, that NATO is currently “fighting… enemies we invent to give the weapons industry a reason to sell more stuff.”

For good measure, she also asserted in September that “Russia used to own Ukraine,” by way of defending its colonization. She even selected a vice-presidential candidate who, when asked whether the downing of Flight MH17—a massacre almost certainly caused by Russian-supplied separatists in eastern Ukraine—was a false flag, responded, “[T]hat’s exactly what has happened.”

Green Party officials across Europe slammed a “delusional” Stein for her views, with leading Russian environmental activists saying they were “deeply shocked” by her comments during her Moscow trip.

No matter. For her efforts in burnishing Kremlin conspiracy theories for American audiences, Stein was awarded not simply with an invitation to the 2015 RT gala, but RT even hosted her party’s 2016 presidential debate—a move Stein hailed as a “step towards real democracy.” RT also covered “live updates” from Stein’s reactions to the debates between Clinton and Trump, a decision Stein further praised. This mutual affection is, naturally, of a piece with RT’s broader modus operandi in the U.S...

Anyone but Hillary!   Amirite???

Blows me away people voted for her...

They need a BIG push on her involvement/distraction of this Russian Coup she helped take over our government.

spoiler candidate doesn't even begin to describe Stein.

..but Hillary was the flawed one?!

The suckers fell for Jill's shtick hook line and sinker and gave us The Trump regime

And  some stooge with a link to Russian media will be along to say that it's not true. All just a conspiracy to make Russia look bad. pedophiles and Pizzagate oh my!

Nancy voted for Bernie.

Wrong, Bernie wasn't  on the ballot, Poolboy

Jill Stein was the only spoiler candidate.

I still adore Bernie, but the race was Trump v Clinton

and the idiots who voted Stein or wrote in Bernie (or any other candidate that didn't stand a chance) helped Trump win.

Remember this guy? One of Tweeto's biggest ball gobbling surrogates...

Where are you now Boris?

Hindsight is 20/20.  Look forward.

>> Hindsight is 20/20.  Look forward.

I do...

I look forward everyday to the incarceration of every motherfucker that has been involved in this Russian Coup.

>>>and the idiots who voted Stein or wrote in Bernie (or any other candidate that didn't stand a chance) helped Trump win.

true if Trump won their state.

Thanks Fog.

Willows and Guy citing alt right propaganda websites are the best.

We should start a new thread for them.

lmao you think a progressive writer like Johnstone is alt right propaganda? Might want to loosen up your tin foil hat there, it's cutting off the blood flow to your brain. Progressives like Ms. Johnstone are as far from the right as it gets, and neoliberals are about as close to the right as they can get without having to admit they're racists.

ps-Yay for hillary's uranium sales to Russia woohoo we can all get bombed by real democrat nukes some day soon!

Hillarys uranium sales, lol    well Trump said so, it must be true,  LOL

http://www.snopes.com/hillary-clinton-uranium-russia-deal/

'for the sake of accuracy it’s crucial to differentiate between partisan accusations and what we actually know about it — however little that may be.' -snopes

You're saying that isn't clinton in that photo with Putin trading US secrets and shilling uranium ore? Connect the dots!

Well you would think one would have some form of proof before attempting that slander, well unless you're repeating another wacky Trump accusation.

Actually never knew trump repeated the uranium accusation until you posted he had, I'm not a fan and ignored his entire campaign.

Is that a lookalike of hillary whispering in Putin's ear? They're in the same photo dude! Connect the dots! lmao

double post edit FYI :) :) :)

The Uranium One deal was not Clinton’s to veto or approve

Among the ways these accusations stray from the facts is in attributing a power of veto or approval to Secretary Clinton that she simply did not have. Clinton was one of nine cabinet members and department heads that sit on the CFIUS, and the secretary of the treasury is its chairperson. CFIUS members are collectively charged with evaluating the transaction for potential national security issues, then turning their findings over to the president. By law, the committee can’t veto a transaction; only the president can. According to The New York Times, Clinton may not have even directly participated in the Uranium One decision. Then-Assistant Secretary of State Jose Fernandez, whose job it was to represent the State Dept. on CFIUS, said Clinton herself “never intervened” in committee matters.

editoutsnark

sarcasm is lost on you, slippers..connect the dots!

I edited out an identical double post, you moron. :) :) :)

Nice maneuvering there Dise, LOL !

You seemed to need a little help, slippers.

Minnetonka or stfu.

>Actually never knew trump repeated the uranium accusation until you posted he had, I'm not a fan and ignored his entire campaign

Lol. So you're saying that you didn't pay attention to the last election?

For all intents and purposes the so called progressives proved to be nothing more than shills for the alt right. Intentionally or they were just too stupid to notice.  In the end they won. Trump was elected.  I concede.

to be fair Jill Stein wasn't the only incompetent spoiler candidate  Putin was working.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/07/politics/gary-johnson-russia-syria-foreign...

But if you call those voters anyone but Hillary voters, then Hillary still loses.

If you can't blame your candidate for losing, you can only blame freedom for your failure.

Would you like to take away some peoples right to vote?

California doesn't need your vote so  move to PA, MI or WI.

>>>For all intents and purposes the so called progressives proved to be nothing more than shills for the alt right. Intentionally or they were just too stupid to notice.

true

only one talking about taking anyone's voting right is the pool boy; morons are free to vote for the spoiler candidates and suffer the consequences.

maybe be we should chip in to buy pool boy a mask - those fumes done fried his brain

Women like yourself have been huffing bleach for decades.

what an odd fantasy to share - well maybe not for a pool boy.

Hillary has no one but herself to blame for losing.

IMG_0509.JPG>> Hillary has no one but herself to blame for losing

Really?

How about we connect some dots...

Tillerson getting past review is just mind boggling sickening.

maddcow.jpg...lol

haven't watched Rachael's show recently, but I'm guessing she's exposed the facts  related to spoiler candidate Jill Stein, and of The Trump Regimes ties to Russia. That doesn't make her a tinfoil hat kook though, but I could see how a staunch Stein supporter or Trump supporter would want to believe that instead of facing  reality

"The still completely unproven conspiracy theory that Russian hackers stole emails from Democratic insiders with the specific goal of handing Donald Trump the election was initiated by the CIA in December of last year when it anonymously leaked those allegations to the Washington Post, whose owner has received hundreds of millions of dollars directly from the CIA. Later that month this same CIA-funded mainstream publication would then publish an article by a recently-retired CIA operative arguing strongly that the CIA shouldn’t have to provide the American people with any proof of these allegations. This consistent refusal to show the public one shred of proof of the allegations of Russian hacking or Trump’s ties to the Russian government already had the intelligence community in “Saddam has WMDs” territory due to the obvious political implications and the alarming way the corporate media instantly and unquestioningly jumped on board with the unproven allegations in the exact same way as they did in the buildup toward the unforgivable Iraq invasion. Then came Vault 7."..

"With the revelation that the CIA has been deliberately collecting programs which give it the ability to forge signs of hacking activity from many other nations, the Russian hacking narrative went completely out the window. It is an indisputable fact that the CIA has an extensive history of lying to the American people at every turn about everything from torture to regime changes to spying on Congress to assassination attempts, and now we learn that they actively cultivated an arsenal that would give them the ability to fabricate the very evidence that was alleged to have been used to ignite this entire Russia controversy in the first place. There is now an entire planet full of potential suspects for the pre-election leaks, and all of the other reasons we’ve been given for escalating tensions with Russia by increased sanctions, NATO troop amassment, etc. have been premised upon those now completely empty hacking allegations.:'"

Interesting take on neo-liberal McCarthyism in 2017, not sure I agree with all of it but still, it's good to hear both sides.

Sessions lied to congress about meeting with the russians, We all know this is true. Right before that Michael Flynn resigns over lying about involvement with russians.

connect the dots

Sorry, as much as Im trying to put it behind me, If you voted for anyone but Hillary, you are partially responsible for Trump. It was Hillary or Trump in our system. Who would you rather have as president? Thats all I'll say about it because I said enough on the topic when it happened.

Sadly, we are ALL responsible for how things move forward. We should come together regardless of who you voted for. Trump sucks, fight him, not each other.

good read here, how about Sally Yates

At my VA appointment, I sat next to a former Army intelligence NCO, who gleefully spoke of how this President was going to make things better for our country. He spoke negatively of the Clintons, citing faux reports of things they had supposedly done. I challenged his assertions and said those stories had been proven false. It devolved to a he said/she said conversation.

Then it reverted back to how the President was going to improve the relationships of America across the world, especially for the military.

I frowned and said the President and his cabinet/cronies were in trouble, because of his Russian connections.

The guy laughed it off and said that the prez would take care of it, like he promised he would.

I came back with, “He didn’t take care of Michael Flynn, his National Security Advisor.”

He laughed again and I frowned again, wondering why he would be so cavalier with a national security issue, being former military intelligence. So I asked him straight out:

“You think it is a laughing matter to have national security people talking to the Russians and our government officials covering it up?”

That got his attention. His eyes focused and he frowned.

I also stated that Jeff Sessions was a terrible Attorney General, since he lied under oath in his Confirmation hearings.

Of course, he came back with, “Everyone lies in Washington. Give me one person that would be good for the job in Washington.”

“I said, Sally Yates. She was in the position and the one who told the President that Michael Flynn was a security risk because no less than nine intelligence agencies’ wire taps, had transcripts of him talking with the Russians, and showed him to be a risk of being blackmailed.”

I clarified that the only way Flynn could have been wire tapped was through a FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) court order, which meant a FISA judge had to have seen enough evidence to authorize nine of them to continue listening/recording ‘someone in the USA,’ which is otherwise illegal unless enough evidence can be presented.

He kept frowning—the lines on his face etching deeper—and the concern in his eyes growing, too.

I mentioned that the President fired Yates, instead of firing Flynn, shortly after she informed him of the national security risks of Flynn. And now ultimately Flynn had had to resign because the truth was surfacing like a bunch of beach balls released under water. I told him there are five additional Presidential campaign aides and advisers with Russian connections and I asked him. “Do you want a President who is selling out America to the Russians?”

He moved in closer and shook my hand, “I have to admit this is the first I have heard of any of this.”

Maybe it will be just one person at a time...if we can get them to hear...and then look for the truth.

I can only hope. I do know, his face had changed. It was not the laughing red capped glibness associated with the one who shall not be named. He had a gritted jaw. Military guys don’t like being sold out to Russians...especially those, who are from the older wars.

How would Clinton handle Russia?

This thread is the good kind of funny political stuff needed around here. Good work.

Nowadays I'm actually Glad Trump won, just to be able to sit back & watch how Far down the Rabbit Hole of Utter Insanity things will go.  Also, to watch the 'Pubbies expend Wind defending him.  Hell, GW Bush's close election only gave us the Invasion of Iraq & all the resulting Fallout (ISIS/Syria/etc).  A full on WWIII Global Thermonuclear War can't be all that much Worse . . .

Heard of the Keystone Pipeline?

40% of Keystone pipeline steel manufactured by Russian company Evraz–in which Putin/Kushner/Trump pal Abramovich has 31% stake in.
