These stunts are not so cool. Not long ago, in Toronto, a woman was discovered sitting on the hook of a crane roughly 45 metres above a downtown construction site - she slid down the wire. The news reported that the ordeal could cost the condo development project on the site as much as $60,000, morning rush hour traffic was affected, and significant emergency first responder resources were used to get the rather cute thrill-seeker down. I had some friends who did
I had some friends who did something like that. It was back when they were doing some work on the GG bridge and there was a very small set of stairs--closer to a ladder-- that allowed you to climb to the top. They were on a bicycle ride (both kinds) and all they had to do was hop a gate and climb up. So far so good. Unfortunately, to get down you had to climb over a gate and then drop down onto the small step which wasn't nearly as easy as going up. They froze their asses off all night afraid to come down. Around dawn they did get up the courage and capacity to climb down before the workers showed up to catch and arrest them. Also, my soccer mom sister scaled a rather large church steeple once. People do shit sometimes. Glad no one got hurt.
