Not sure about Portland but The Rain Parade is opening the Seattle show on Friday night. They were one of the Jangle Pop bands referred to as The Paisley Underground in the 1980's, fronted by Steve Wynn. That's a nice double bill. It will be very cold here that night, but as long as we don't get icy conditions, I'm going to try to make it.

I always get my Paisley
I always get my Paisley Underground bands mixed up. Steve Wynn was in The Dream Syndicate, not Rain Parade.
Rain Parade was the band that guitarist David Roback, who went on to find Opal and Mazzy Star, started with his brother, bassist Steven Roback. David eventually left the band, then passed away a few years back, but Steven has kept Rain Parade active.
