This is the best CD I heard this year & the best I've heard in a long time. I'm a little late to the party; it was released in January, but I wasn't aware of until last week.
Just got it & could not go to bed without checking this out. Fired up a fresh pot of coffee...
This by far Tommy Emmanuel's best release to date. With the help of the finest musicians living on this planet, complete musical ecstasy is achieved.

From what, I read here, just the Mark Knophler track took two years to complete and Tommy's been rolling with Jorma in the studio for as long.
The Ricky Skaggs, Amanda Shires, David Grisman, Rodney Crowell & Jerry Douglas tracks are as good as it can get,

Just for fun, are any of you Tommy Emmanuel fans aware of his brother Phil Emmanuel? I used to see him all the time in the late 70's in Sydney, before I moved here. He was more the electric cat, played Hendrix and Al DiMeola and stuff. He and his brother occasionally perform together, and it's a marvel to see - great playing and licks, and lotsa tricks, like playing each others's guitars etc...
Hey look, I found a link from 1982, just around when I was seeing them both... at the time, we cared less for Tommy, because he was playing with pop star Johnny Farnham...
