Touchdown

My colleague who is a huge Watson fan from his Clemson days says this is all a setup so that the Texans don't owe him money.   The lawyer coincidentally used to be neighbors with the Texans Owner and put up billboards trying to recruit players.    I'm not saying the lawsuits aren't legit, I'm noting it's curious.   Nothing more.

At first the timing of the thing seemed a bit fishy, as Watson has made it clear to his organization that he wanted out, basically demanding that they trade him and that he almost certainly would hold out if they didn't trade him.

Watson is by far the single most valuable asset to an organization that is worth over three billion dollars, an organization that has proven to be fairly bungling & incompetent. IMO it's possible to believe that such an organization could conceive a plot to hold onto & control it's most valuable asset. Dastardly and evil for sure, but we all have seen that when billions are involved, things can go evil fast, especially when so often evil is closely connected to bungling & incompetence.

But with so many women now lining up it's hard to believe that this is a plot or that a few gold-diggers & a publicity-hound lawyer are looking to take advantage of a rich guy for a pay day.

Either way it's REALLY bad timing for Watson, who even if innocent will now almost certainly not be traded, because no team will want to go anywhere near him until he is completely exonerated, which will take a long time, if ever.

But at this point, with the charges adding up and the stories all mostly lining up, it seems that he's got bigger problems than what team he plays for.

It's amazing how in this day & age, when it's virtually impossible to keep a secret, people in power still often seem to think they can get away with anything.

Someone was offered 30k to say there was sexual abuse according to the Houston Chronic-le

If a couple more come out and say this, it's going to make it real messy.

The timing of this whole thing is really strange.

If it comes out that the Texans are behind this somehow, watch out.
