Yesterday I stumbled upon this YouTube channel -- https://www.youtube.com/@deadcoroner/videos -- which was established a year ago and already has 69 long-form videos of GD and related recordings, accompanied by still photos, and some video and voice-overs... all focused on the seminal years 1973 and 1974. It's the first I've seen of this amazing collection, and others here on Viva are probably aware of and/or familiar with this channel. But for those like me who are new to this YouTube collection, there are countless hours of viewing and listening available from two of my favorite years in GD history.
The entity behind the channel self-describes as follows: "... posting every available Grateful Dead and related live recording in chronological order on the 50th anniversary of the original performance from Fall 1973 through 1974. Follow Jerry's musical journey through this pivotal era of the Dead's career as it happened. ... If you get confused, you know what to do..."
I've only watched one of the available videos -- uploaded to the channel about a week ago -- but I found it riveting and couldn't stop viewing until the end of the 68-minute video. I highly recommend this particular one, titled "1974: The Year The Dead Broke (Documentary)" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi7CD50Tj-w
Enjoy!
