A Tribute to Perry Robinson and Mark Whitecage

Forums:

In case you didn't know, Perry passed away in December of 2018 and Mark passed away in March of 2021.   I miss their physical presence but they live on in my heart and in my music.

I do not mourn that they are no longer here, I celebrate that they were.

Here is a set we did at the Yippie Cafe with Clip Payne if P-Funk on drums and Gerry Achee on djembe (Gerry passed in January of 2021)

Thanks for posting this Richie.  I have a very fond memory of meeting Perry at the first zoner jam.  We chatted outside and he took me around the corner to a magic bar which was quite magical at the time.

Great night for sure!

RIP Perry and Mark

Always a Great time seeing them and Jamming with them, ECZJ in Baltimore when  the Valet gave the wrong person the wrong keys  It was  Ritchies Van with all the band gear in it, WOW what a scene in  the Lobby... The person finally relized and came back with the Van..  Good Times On the OLD Zone...

Very modern approach to music, RIP lads.

Fond memories of both of them. One thing I find amazing is that I am always coming across musicians in NYC who have stories of jamming with Perry. One of the ones that most surprised me was when Vinnie Stigma (Agnostic Front) found a photo of Perry on my Instagram feed and proceeded to tell me about Perry not only jamming with various NYHC bands but teaching Vinnie that one should always eat a lot of oysters so there's always "lead in your pencil."

2 cool dudes and musical originals
