Trump trial question

Forums:

Is this a plausible statement?

Trump wouldn't be on trial if Stormy was paid with petty cash funds ( pocket money).

That is my understanding, but Trump was too damn cheap to use his own money so he used campaign funds which is what makes it illegal.

Also illegal is that he mischaracterized those funds. He reimbursed Michael Cohen for Stormy's payoff, and then characterized that money as legal expenses.

Wonder if we'll see Slacker stop in here to acknowledge that the wealthy do get arrested and tried occasionally.

Yes, that is a plausible statement.

And the purpose of the fraudulent legal transactions was to influence the outcome of the 2016 election in trump's favor by keeping the story away from public consumption.

(an election these acts may or may not have actually affected)

But criminally it's all about intent, not the outcome.

The falsification of business records is what this case is all about.   If Trump had simply given Stormy a check with "hush money" on the memo line, he would be good.   But as is often the case, the cover up was worse than the crime.

And unlike with the civil cases, Trump has to show up to this criminal trial every day.   Dude doesn't know how to behave himself in court and I would not be surprised one bit if he let's his big dumb mouth send him in jail for contempt of court.

>>And the purpose of the fraudulent legal transactions was to influence the outcome of the 2016 election in trump's favor.

His very plausible defense to that is, "My voters don't care what or who I do, and I would gave got more votes if she squealed. I just wanted to shut her up because she annoys me."

Even I have reasonable doubt with that, and I hate the fucker.

can't wait till Ms Stormy tells all on the equivalence of small hands and cock size

and that 45 got off bein' juked
with a baby octopus
An spewed upon with cream corn...

>>>Wonder if we'll see Slacker stop in here to acknowledge that the wealthy do get arrested and tried occasionally<<<

Slacker doesn't need me to speak for him, but it's my impression that he's been saying that in the end nothing significantly bad will happen to Trump, bad like jail or major loss of assets or huge money.

And despite all the attention, all the trials and all shit that Don the Con is actually guilty of, I agree with that sentiment.

Every once in a while a super-rich person goes down. It's rare, but it does happen. However, virtually never does a super-powerful person go down, and absolutely never has an ex-president gone done.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump is all three of those.

The best that can be hoped for is that he loses the election in November and fades into an annoying sideshow, still doing his rallies, blathering on social media and paying (or not) someone to write books for him, but IMO he's never going to do time, and if he loses some holdings or money he'll be able to cover himself and continue to live the life he's accustomed to.

That's a shame, but unfortunately, again in my uneducated opinion, it's also the most likely scenario.

We will see.

>>>>The best that can be hoped for is that he loses the election in November and fades into an annoying sideshow

Yep.  In some countries, dude would be facing the firing squad but understand that we are better than that.  Still think he might lose his shit having to sit through a six week trial.

> nothing significantly bad will happen to Trump, bad like jail or major loss of assets or huge money

He's been indicted on something like 90 felony counts, which isn't jail (yet), but it is significantly bad by most measures, and then there's that half billion he's on the hook for in two civil actions so far, with the path cleared today for more civil actions about his involvement in January 6th.

It might just be a once-in-a-generation thing, but someone needs to made an example of, and Trump seems like the perfect candidate.

I have to believe he will do jail time.  And I will thank the Jan. 6th House committee for that. This DOJ wasn't going to do anything until the Jan. 6th committee guilted them into action. None of these other 3 felony cases are going away. My bet is he loses the election and 2025 becomes the year that the lyrics 'The bigger they come, The harder they fall' will ring true again. Hell, he might do time before the election. Color me optimistic.

Thanks for the comments.

Trump is stupid.

Still think he might lose his shit having to sit through a six week trial.<<

That would be a wonderful sight to see.

It sure would, but death by a thousand cuts would be satisfying to witness too.

Best case scenario: he chokes on a boneless  chicken wing and Melania goes to take a dump instead of calling 911.

Pretty sure they don't live together or sleep together.

I'm going with the cheeseburger.

Jesus, self immolation to end a war is one thing, but what kind of fucktard does it because Trump is on trial? Those MAGA-fucks really are a cult!

He's from Florida.

Shocking.

(Sorry Tim and other normal Florida folks).

This might just  inspire more more MAGA Martyrs

and if the Supreme Court rules in favor of J6 Criminals then we can expect them to heed Trump's call to disrupt the proceedings.

I fully expect the MAGA truckers to block access too

This might just  inspire more more MAGA Martyrs <<<<

Thanks for the LOL, Nino!

Simpsons fans take note. The following is from the manifesto:

One of the key findings of this research is that Harvard University is one of the largest
organized crime fronts in history, which is how they churn out billionaires – it’s a major
hub of this sprawling criminal network.

As it turns out, dozens of the writers of The Simpsons went to Harvard. So I asked
myself the question: If The Simpsons served the interests of organized crime, how would
it do so?

Well, it offers a dysfunctional family suffering from moral decay, a community incapable
of solving its problems, a worker drone who slaves away for an evil billionaire, and
cathartic laughs for our poor collective circumstances.

There are some notable specifics as it relates to this research, too: In "Marge vs. The
Monorail," the townsfolk are too oafish and divided to invest in the town’s needs (fix
Main Street) and fall for the charms of a dazzling showman with a bogus monorail Ponzi
scheme. When we know that the show is closely linked to an organization that invests
billions of dollars in Ponzi factories, this becomes quite damning.

In "Lisa the Iconoclast," Lisa discovers that town founder Jebediah Springfield was a
secret criminal con artist, and that the townsfolk’s lives are a lie. Realizing this is an
important discovery, she desperately tries to get the townsfolk to listen to her. But they
meet her with hostility, apathy, disbelief, and partisanship and she fails to get through to
them. Ultimately, she realizes the town is so far gone that perhaps it’s better for them to
be lied to by con artists, and she keeps the secret to herself.

And here I’ve been, like Lisa Simpson, desperately trying to get friends, family, and the
public to believe the proof of a totalitarian con I’m trying to show them, and they’ve
turned away with hostility, apathy, disbelief, and partisanship.

And so, we realize the criminal truth of The Simpsons: Our elites are telling us that our
eroding collective circumstances are our own fault, and we can’t do anything about it,
while they steal the American Dream from us. It is, for lack of a more elegant word,
brainwashing.

 >>>Those MAGA-fucks really are a cult!

Yep. A cult consisting of tens of millions. I didn't know such a thing was possible, but I'm seeing it every day.

He allegedly shit himself on the set of his "reality tv" show.

He's never sued the guy who regularly breaks his NDA to talk about it.  Trump.  Not suing someone.  Or trashing him, even.  Not a word.

So, he can exercise some self-control.

Just not of his bowels.

Maggie Haberman's next book will be titled ShitStorm

Did someone say cult?!

"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?"

Can This NIGHTMARE CLOWN Just FUCKIN DIE ! I Can't Wait For That DAY !!

^ TOD with the pic of the day, maybe the year. THANKS for that laugh.

Trump spilled the beans on his defense today after court - he didn't know what he was signing when he put his signature on the check to Stormy.

The real trial is in GA where he strong armed the GA Sec. of State, threatened him and his family, "I just need you to find me 12.000 votes", and be on the call with Guilianni and Graham, and have it recorded.

That is election fraud writ large.

This fucking guy.

Court fined Trump $9,000 for violating the gag order and warned of  "incarceratory punishment" if he keeps it up.   Would be hilarious if dude ends up in Rikers because he can't keep his big, dumb mouth shut.

What a maroon.

Uber drivers and baristas get just about as many likes as this guy lol
