Twiddle

Forums:

Saw Twiddle last night for the first time and was impressed.   Was half expecting some Phish-lite musical wankery, but instead it was solid rock with muscular jams with danceable beats that often veered in reggae territory.   Can't believe they are calling it quits and this is their last tour.

See them while you can if they come around.   They are currently touring with Eggy, a high energy up and coming jamband from the east coast.  They were much better last night than the first time I saw them in NYC at a Phish after party.

They are fun band with a great fan base.

And Twiddle will be back. It's just a break. Give it about 18-24 months while Mihali explores some other stuff.

Thanks for the head's up, guys. Just got a call offering me a free ticket to Wednesday in SLC and thought I'd check on the Zone and voila! I'm going for sure now.

muscular jams with danceable beats <<

Run that through your head in Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice.

Fun.

Wow, what a great show.

Eggy was OK. Their last song was their best - a driving rocker with great licks. (They also covered Phil Collins "Su Su Sudio" ? Meh.)  A good opener for Twiddle.

Twiddle kicked butt and did at least a 2 hour show with no intermission. Not sure how it translates to listening without a crowd and beer and......The vibe was good. Buncha goddamned hippies, with a few inconsiderate youngsters thrown in. This oldie was happy to get a seat on the side when the doors opened.

Bought their CD and looking forward to hearing it. Seems their lyrics are nice and positive. I'd go see 'em again. https://www.twiddlemusic.com/

Listened to a show on the archive while working out today. https://archive.org/details/Twiddle

Gotta say while searching The Zone for info on Twiddle the other day, I ran across this post from Bart in Feb of 2017.

"Twiddle is great. I was blown away when I saw them."

So I shared some thoughts with Bart last night and toasted him while listening.

Adrian took over the drum kit for Twiddle about a year ago

Super talented drummer and guitar player

He's been performing for years with many bands:

Kung Fu

RAQ

The Breakfast

Black Rock Funk Allstars

and more.

Also a drum teacher. One of his students toured with Cindi Lauper!

Really nice guy that put in the work

Glad to see he is finally playing sold out shows across the nation.

He deserves it...

Be neat to make him a Phriend for a run of shows.....
