I wasn't there and I've never seen Taz - I caught Twiddle at the SF Independent earlier this month and enjoyed it.

Ever since I watched the full, 4 hour vid of Colonel Bruce Hampton's final show and the epic jam at the end with Taz and Popper (among others) I've been impressed with this kids chops, presence and mojo!   This is great stuff and I hope he tours and jams the Bay Area in '18!

Holy shit he's good.....beyond his age,

That kid is meant for the big leagues. Twiddle have come into their own and can hang solidly. Great combo of talent.

meh. He's ok for his age. He has the jam face down though.

What makes his mojo different from Mayer?

They all bring in the babes, JM, Taz and Twiddle.

Lol at anyone who has ever written 'Twiddle have come into their own.'

Wow. Has jamband music gotten that bad? Condolences.

I have no issues with saying that Twiddle has become a very solid band. Not sure what you're looking for in jambands atedix?

Opinion are like assholes.....

I like how you can't talk about a shitty jam band without resorting to personal slights, Jonas.

Shows character haha

'Solid band' damn hahahaha

Personal slights? Do you actually eat dicks? Dude, you haven't a clue but keep up pretending.

I see you have a bit invested in this Twiddle thing, Jonas. I defer to your deep font of knowledge when it comes to hetty jambands, bruh

I mortgaged my house to go on Twiddle tour. So far I've sold enough grilled cheese to pay for a 1 bd apartment for 2 months. I already told my kids -- 'fuck off, the future is Twiddle brohams!' They aren't all too happy but fuck em.

I wanted to dislike Twiddle, primarily based on their name. But they've grown on me and do in fact put on a good show, at least the sole one I attended. Will go again.

I enjoyed them in SF at the Indy... but me thinks they'd be a better band with a slightly calmer, less cluttered approach.
The "ALL ON," factor was ultimately fatiguing.  Too much midrange and less space in the music made it less enjoyable for me.

Thankfully, at the show I saw, they did a sweet take on "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen and it showed their capacity to listen to each other more.....

WOW absolutely terrible and cringe worthy  terrible terrible shakedown jam  ouch!

Twiddle isn't cool with the VT GDF?

And to all the detractors I'm not even necessarily a Twiddle fan -- I just think those kids have something cool going on and they'll only get better. Ted -- their chops and ears are developing with each show.

Hanging out on a DBMB and taking shots at folks who engage in discourse regarding a popular drug band.  Nice.

I am not a fan really.  Carry on, though.

I’m not a Twiddle fan but I’m super stoked for the Zoner that’s in the band.  Glad they’re successful.  I hope JeffG starts blowing up like them.

I will share a quick note of a time seeing the band back in 2012.

I had just started working in my career and had a buddy I met during orientation who played guitar and hockey.  Cool and cool.  Shortly after getting acquainted, he mentioned that he loves this band Twiddle and asked if I knew who they were.  We went to go see them a few months later and he wanted to get down on some psychs with everyone.  Gave him some psilo cubes  and he reacted well.  He then asked for some paper so I broke off a generous piece.

The show was cool- we had a great time.  My friend from work had a GREAT night- his eyes were dinner plates.  Walking out to the car he freaked out (not knowing what to do with himself) and took off on foot in the city.  We had to chase him down a mile to the bus station, at which point he was hopping into a taxi.  We then get him in my car and drive to my apartment and he takes off again running around my neighborhood.

He came down and has a new perspective on things.  Said he felt like he was born again.  Glad he got turned on and was safe though.

A few of you know my long LONG time association with Twiddle. i know their parents, Ive played music with them before they had this bass player, i always thought billy was better and the music would have been way different.  again IMO   I partied with them for years and they took over my lease on my place on the lake down in castleton years ago, etc.... for years while they were honing their TWIDDLE. Lng LONG time roots with them.   still doesn't mean  i like their music at all, and that doesnt mean that i don't really feel good for them to get all this way.   This is really my MO. I dont just hop on the bus with things that start a wave and, well if everyone likes i should go and learn to like as well.. NOPE

There ya go Jonass

Who's the Zoner in the band Hoover?

I can’t remember.  He stopped posting when they stated getting more well known.  Pretty sure Twiddle was in his handle for a while.

They are all really talented.  I like their keyboardist.. he's especially good.  My friend, Rob, went camping with his wife in New Hampshire last summer and the bassist and his girl were camping in the spot next to them.

never heard of them
