Still think it is funny that Liam Neeson's daughter in "Taken" is kidnapped when she runs off to Europe to go on U2 tour. Can't imagine their shows are much different from night to night.

There's plenty to dislike
There's plenty to dislike about U2, their sound can be spotty (especially when you hang the speakers only from the ceiling), but they do mix up their set lists somewhat from night to night and charge less than $100 for GA tix.
They have also never played The Joshua Tree album in its entirety. 'Red Hill Mining Town' never made it past a video and aborted single.

Never been a huge U2 fan, but it looks like a very ambitious tour. Lotsa big stadiums, and I bet the light show will be awesome.

i don't understand, are you claiming that U2's live sound is spotty because the band members choose poor rigging points for their PA?

^On the last tour, their entire pa was hanging from overhead - like, over the crowd, around the screen thing - as I dimly recall. Sound was horrible and when the band was onstage facing the crowd, it seemed strange to have the sound coming from somewhere else than where the band was. Maybe sounded better up top, but not the floor.
As you will notice, there is no pa directly in front of the stage.
