Great music on Unforgettable Fire and Joshua Tree.

Joshua Tree anniversary and "very, very special shows" in 2017 ~ sounds like U2 is bucking for a slot at Desert Trip 2017.

I saw the original tour on its stop in Rochester, NY. Good show, but that was enough for me.

No shits given.

Bet Duke's a happy pup.

Hate U2 as a rule, but like the Joshua tree era stuff.

still unlikely that I'll go see 'em

Bono won't even be able to sing half of it, his range has diminished noticeably since 1987

...but I'd still rather see them play JT over anything they've put out (and will put out) in the last 10 or so years.

They couldn't even give away the last crapfest of an album.

"Bono won't even be able to sing half of it, his range has diminished noticeably since 1987"

Pro Tools and singers under the stage!

"Bono won't even be able to sing half of it, his range has diminished noticeably since 1987"<<

Meh.  Jagger couldn't sing the Miss You falsetto thing live as early as '81 or '82.

I'm thinking The Edge and the bassist will have to deal with a few key changes.

Thank you for posting this. The Joshua Tree album is a classic piece of rock and roll history and I'd love to see this tour, it's going to rage.

and please don't be discouraged by the "kind" peaceful hippies here who feel the need to go out of their way to tell you that they don't like the music that you do like

Thank you, Bucky Badger.

Overall, we're not kind peaceful hippies here, Badger; we're pranksters. You'll find your people at the Ratboard.

And why would you feel bad if someone says that they don't like something that you do like, anyway?

Do you really think we're all going to agree all the time? silly.

bucket list band, glad to read this, although i agree about the last several albums not being all that great.

Saw the show in Hartford 1987. I thought it was pretty decent

i dunno, i still have not found what im looking for you know the one tree hill, where the bullet blue sky exits into gods country where the streets have no name where the mothers of the dissapeared will trip through your wires ?

yeah, i thought not.

Saw them twice.

First time, they sounded like a giant AM radio.

Richard Belzer sat in front of us for a while.

Gotta go, Babe.  This is too loud.

T'was tinny,  Not at all woody.

one and done for a lifetime unless they get lone justice to open the forum and dylan plays 4/20 better get on it quick

Never saw them. Always wanted to. Maybe now is my chance. But I expect them to be past their expiration date.

i put together a One Tree Hill Live U2 Compilation It Is Awesome and from a Great Album.

Are there any dates announced yet? I saw one of the 87 shows, and it was incredible. I'm definitely catching one of these.

one tree hill is an awesome song, one of my favorites. I recently downloaded 90 G's of JT tour '87 from april up to the incredible depot nye shows in dublin. last week downloaded about the same amnt of the lovetown tour which starts with 9/21/89 thru 1/10/90 in Australia. wanna do some trading plf?
