To Vaccinate Or Religious Exemption

My nephew was poisoned by a vaccine - immediately hospitalized and has never recovered.  They tag it as Autism but basically his brain cooked from fever immediately after his MMR shot. 

The point has always been, and I'm not going to rehash points of many threads here over the years, that vaccines aren't safe for everyone and they are usually given, in combo doses, without any knowledge of a possibly compromised system.     

Daughter was allergic to the Pertussis vaccine and had to have a custom-made one without that component.

That said, get 'em vaccinated!

Is it possible for some type of precursor available for vaccine allergies?

They hit kids with their first vaccine moments after their birth.  The industry(and that's exactly what it is) sees those that get sick as necessary casualties. Preventative testing isn't part of the US health care program.   Im guessing that surfs kid had a reaction to the first Pertussis vacc and they then altered the booster?

im inherently opposed to religious exemption because of my inherent distrust and disdain for religion, and of course people should vaccinate their kids, the vaccine conspiracies are absurd, vaccine requirement for public education is beyond reasonable, but the idea that a government mandate with the threat of civil penalties or criminal prosecution, that you or your kids inject something into your arm seems inherently orwellian, although maybe something folks will have to come to accept if the situation worsens. i cant say id be up in arms about it or anything, it would be an absolute joy to witness the gnashing of teeth from the antivaxxers that would occur if a law like that were to be passed, but even those 100% in favor of some kind of mandatory vaccine law, for which there are many reasonable arguments, should acknowledge and address the inherent orwellian nature of a law that requires citizens to inject things into their bodies by threat of penalties or prosecution. 

Vaccinations are probably about as safe for kids as attending public school is....

when the coronavirus vaccine become available it will be interesting to see how many of these "religious" exemption  kooks are the first in line to get vaccinated?

the majority of the religious nutcases were vaccinated as kids and are just willing to gamble with their childrens' lives. 

Watched my mom (in a week) go from a perfectly healthy 28 year old woman to fully bedridden from rubella vaccine. The vaccine was required for her to start her new job at the hospital, which she really wanted, and was hired over bunch of other people for, most of whom were men (this was 1988). Rheumatoid arthritis took her entire body over in about five days as a direct result of the vaccine. Having seen this happen first hand, I acknowledge that vaccines have serious risks attached which most folks will laugh off as religious exemption mania or some other snarky thing. I also acknowledge that vaccines also help a lot more people than they probably hurt. She was never physically able to start that job, and spent the next three years unemployed, miserable, and in horrible pain. I trust the government to require to put things in our bodies about as much as I trust the pharmaceutical companie$ responsible for cooking the stuff up.

You’ll never hear about the most severe side effects of pharmaceuticals because the truth is we just flat don’t know what they are until they happen. Testing groups in these trials involve dozens or hundreds of people, not 300 million. It wasn’t a coincidence at all, and by the time she had met the right doctor that could really help, she had become aware of three others (and met one) on the east coast in essentially the same situation. Eventually she reached a meager settlement with the hospital. The manufacturer (Purdue, I think) wasn’t ever even brought up in litigation by the hospital or her attorney. That’s how untouchable they are. The hospital of course, acknowledged nothing. Mom just wanted to raise our family and she got crippled instead. Thanks for playing. Real shit.

Because you never bothered to look.  Most people bury their heads in the sand as long as it doesn't effect them.  Do a little research... 

We missed the annual CDC 'measles epidemic' fear mongering this year... I guess there wasn't even enough data to scare the dumbest of the dumb this year. 

Of course it wasn't communicated to her. I don't know that this particular risk was even known, and when it became known it wasn't acknowledged. And that's kind of my point. I also don't remember a lot of the the exact details (I was ten) other than to work in a hospital in New York State at that time, the standard yellow vaccination card wouldn't cut it.
