I also have to say in the nicest way possible but what the actual fuck is wrong with young women in this country. As a cis gendered, straight, white, male, boomer I've been told to shut the fuck up and that other people have it from here, and I am so fine with that, but the Republican party is literally killing women and nothing other than a few female artist saying abortion should be legal at their concerts. Getting in the streets changes things. Pick a red state and shut it down. Blockade the state house, blockade any business that supports Republicans in any way. Get arrested.
Meanwhile we have a pleasant little lawsuit in Texas asking for the courts to clarify how women can be tortured less, after they literally have scared one women for life. Where is the anger.
That Walgreen's policy is F'd up for sure, but you are SO right to redirect attention to the Repub party, moving - in several states - to ban abortion even when the health of the mother is at risk. That policy is supported by 10% of the public.
The midterms confirmed that Repubs are shooting themselves in the foot politically with their abortion policies. A couple of elections cycles ought to fix this, but the ground will be littered with women and families who have suffered in the meantime.
Newsom just pulled a $54 million contract with Walgreens. They supplied the prison pharmacy. Gotta say Newsom steps up. Don't see any other blue state Governors come close.
