I'll give you asthma!

wow, i mean, to each their own and all that.

but that's fucking terrible. hahahahah. wtf.

Truly terrible.

50 bucks says the Smails kid picks his nose.

It has that Frozen Logger quality to it, huh?

Bobby sounds better than Trey.

^i agree.

Is this compulsory?

<<<Bobby sounds better than Trey.

yeah , but that's a pretty low bar in this context.

Agreed here too. Love Bobstar at 1:20.    Ahhhh---- '''yahh! Did he fuck up or was that Bob the star.

No worse then half the stuff Bob does these days.

Yeah it's bad.

About on par with what Phil and his buds/kids have been putting out recently.

(((Aging)))

Jeez, it was a one off cover of a Gaga song. It was bound to suck. It put it in the same category as when the GD did Frozen Logger, Revolution and Stir it Up. They were horrendous.

Frozen Logger is more of a little tuning between songs ...like funiculi funiculi or merry go round. ..or at least that's how it was done in Chicago 10-21-71.

These guys are trying to hard to stay relevant.

Fantastic. Gaga must be blushing.

Shit, not a huge Trey fan, and Bob's had issues, but the whole show is kinda sweet.

Lady Gaga and The Beatles arent In the same 'Iconic' category at all.imo or Bob Marley for that matter. Now had the Grateful Dead covered Madonna back in the 80s I could see your point.

OP may be retarded

so bobby and mayer invite lady gaga to sit in for some dead&co summer shows now, right?

Using the word retarded to describe someone is not okay. 1st warning Heybrochaco.

Bingo! I thought the Deep Ellum Blues was rather enjoyable. Just that and not much more. A Happy hour two drinks in kind of thing.

Lady Gaga seems like a very humble and cool woman.

I was wrong about ol' meat dress. I'm not afraid to admit that.

That was pretty brutal.  Maybe if the notes Bob sang the loudest weren't so . . . I dunno . . . random?

I just want everyone to know that I've cross posted some of the comments that have been made on this site about Bob Weir today over on Ratdog.org and those people are not happy.

They're not happy at all.

So much negativity from Brian d. Please take it somewhere else.

GFY, Troll.

Gaga is really friggin' talented, and Million Reasons is a really good song. She's about as relevant as it gets in today's music, and she spans genres.

I don't get your point, Greg. It was okay for the GD to butcher Beatles or Marley songs, but not Gaga? Or, is it that you don't know the Gaga song, so it was them butchering a random song and just playing shitty?

"These guys are trying to hard to stay relevant."

Or maybe they're, you know, just trying to have some fun.  Remember when playing music was fun?

I never agreed thst the dead butchered any beatles or bob Marley.  You claimed that bri. I just don't put Gaga anywhere near those classic iconic bands that GD covered. My point that im making is lady gaga is closer to the likeness of 80s madonna, who was never covered byGD.

Butchering her song...well that's not what im saying. maybe you would be happy if the dead had covered 'holiday' or 'vogue' in the 90s, I would see your point.  But they didn't.  So I don't.

As for the dead covering the Beatles I loved every one...never once through the years have I thought the butchered any beatles song...especially Revolution!

Go to the 1 minute mark and get back to me...

As Thom said, having fun. Every time (in the link above)  they muffed the lyrics or Bobby pulled a Bobby, the crowd cheered. They were laughing, the crowd was laughing. It was fun.

JUst like it was fun for Bobby and Trey to whip out a random Gaga tune.

I never heard the song but I kinda like it.

"Go to the 1 minute mark and get back to me..."

Good lord, you're complaining about a version of a song that they had never played, probably never rehearsed, and appeared spontaneously out of a jam?????

Like I said, remember when it was all about having fun?

I wasn't complaining. I loved that Stir it Up, simply because it was fun. I was making the point that it could be a mess, but still be a great time - same point you were making.

Maybe they are having fun, Thom. Dicking around and playing some straight up bullshit is fun for everyone.

saw Bennett and Gaga at Radio City Music Hall... she's a damn talented performer.

as for the above butchering, I had to turn it off after 15 seconds... just brutal.

Going to see Lady Gaga this summer. It will be my first pop concert ever. Let's see if I make it to the end.
