Just another great gathering at the Jerry Garcia ampitheater.  Really glad I was able to participate in these.  They sure were some good times.  Louie Lardo even made it out for this one.

Here's the Melting Pot set:  https://archive.org/details/meltingpot2009-09-19.wczj3

Here's Sueshis photos from the event: https://www.facebook.com/wczjadmin/photos/a.123536930999862.13961.123510...

Really nice looking back at Sueshi's pictures and seeing all you lovely people. Good times indeed.

super great times, for sure... the glory days of WCZJ

lotta familiar faces in Sueshi's photos from 9/19/2009...

Zoner regulars Canyon & Lisa, Mylar (& Judy), HeyDavey, Sinatra, Doogels, Walstib, LLTD, Peakfifteen & Jamjuice, Hall & Angie, Redneck & Alias, Tiff, Mark D, Nancy & hubby, Capt. Budley (RIP)

interlopers Hoover, GDad, Puff, Shakin' Nagan (w/ Perry & Mark from Who Knows?), Zeus, Brent Kliss, LFL (RIP)

seldom-seen Zoners Jen Setz, Butterfly, E-Beth, Emily, Rory

I'm sure I missed more than a few names here...

as I recall, after this Zoner Jam ended, a bunch of us hightailed it across the Bay to Oakland to see Furthur at the Fox Theater! Furthur had just formed as a band, and I think it was their 1st or 2nd show ever... super fun!

bunch of YouTube videos from WCZJ III (mostly), other years too:

It is my feeling that the real downfall of The Zone and it's successors was the end of the Zoner jams on both coasts.

Dooooogs!!!

Was this really the third?   Did it skip a year?    I went to one before 2008.

We sure did have some fun, didnt we?

Louie Fucking Lardo !!

I forgot we went to see Furthur that night, but I do remember bacon on the grill.  Great times, excellent music.

nice pics, thanks for sharing.

Louie looked happy.

does anyone ever talk to Brent Kliss?

Funny story about Brent Kliss.

Last time The Republic played I had a group text with a bunch of zoners (Brent included) inviting them to the gig.  I got a response from Brent's number saying "hey, I don't think I'm supposed to be included in these messages".

I apologized and said "this was my buddy Brent's old phone number.  I bet you get some weird messages."

he responded "you have no idea"

lol

Talk like a pirate day!

Aye...

Brent was a strong opponent to pizza. Yet, he really could use some pizza on those bones.

Gorgeous bacon. Was that year the WCZJ was streamed from the Amphitheater?

Yeah those were the days, great times at the JGA with Dedicated Maniacs, Mylar & Friends, Lost Ticket, Richie & Peri...

Nothing good lasts forever...

Those were some git-downs that got all the way down.

Fun times!

Good stuff!
