5 inches of snow today.

We got a little rare snow in western Oregon the other night.  Looking like we get several more chances over the next week.

Uncommon snow on Mt. Tam yesterday. 2-3 inches.

Had to scrape ice off the windshield, at the beach.

I'm sure glad that doesn't happen much here.

Smoke some lemon haze and enjoy the day.

Get activated.

Massive snow in the mountains, 8-10 inches in the Salt Lake Valley. 2-3 day storm. I'm a sore mo-fo from shoveling.

Most gov offices and most all schools closed today. When you affect Salt Lake City like this, it's something. This ain't our first rodeo.

Brighton got over 63 inches since Sunday. But Big Cottonwood Canyon was closed since last night and all day today for avalanche control and road clearing.

Road open now, but will probably close again in the morning.

Alta in Little Cottonwood was going "interlodge" last night. Not sure what the latest is.

It's a winter wonderland, but the avalanche danger is huge.

This link is for live mountain cams in all the resorts. Kinda dark now. https://www.skiutah.com/view-mountain-cams

Did you hear Colbert pump the Deer Valley Resort last night on his show? I imagine he'll get some great treatment next time he's here.

Here's Brighton's current conditions.

This cam link should work. Not sure why the other failed us. Maybe an inadvertent space after the last letter.   https://www.skiutah.com/view-mountain-cams
