PBS NJ Ch 13 cameras visited the venue and filmed music multi cam by Elvin Bishop Band, Sha NaNa, Byrds (post Crosby), Albert King, Van Morrison plus the backstage pre-show stuff and audience. Quality pro-shot vid

Loved the backstage moment when Roger McGuinn is walking by Sha Na Na and the greasers diss him : "Hey Hippie"

Quite the period piece ...

Amazing piece of history, but for me personally I wish the program featured far more of the backstage/behind the scenes element and far less music.

The music is fine but there is plenty of that in the world, but what happened behind the scenes and on a personal level with the people who ran that legendary venue is endlessly fascinating and truly historical (at least to me) and there is almost nothing recorded of any of that. I guess you just had to be there.

I was fortunate to have worked with a few people who worked at the Fillmore East and I would prod them for their stories and would listen to them all night. Stuff of legends for sure.

Still, that was very cool, thanks for posting.
