I remember the flying eyeball
I remember the flying eyeball cover well. I also remember reading that the Dead were pretty pissed off about the book, but don't remember why. I'm sure Courtney isn't particularly thrilled that her dad wrote a book implementing her in Kurt's death.
I always assumed he was somehow connected to the whole MDMA, Marin County psychiatric community coming out party, when it was first released into the world, but that isn't mentioned.
RIP

^I doubt my little Trumptown
^I doubt my little Trumptown paper would go too deep into any drug or hippie thing.
Although I didn't know him, he came to one of my Sac shows about 10 years ago and made a generous contribution to my tip jar.

The only thing I remember
The only thing I remember from his book The Dead was that Phil had a girlfriend who was 14 years old.

A strange little book. Not
A strange little book. Not much accurate info on the Dead, but an interesting window into the times and places.
If I remember correctly, it came with an acetate recording of a Neil Cassady rap. Still have the book but the record has apparently taken off for parts unknown.
