Edibles are the New market. Aging Boomers such as myself who burned their lungs out smoking seedy brickweed for decades simply can't smoke anymore, & we enjoy all those Foodie recipes. >I thought nancy said sessions was coming for our weed
Actually Sessions said that himself, don't have to take my word for it.
>"I do not believe there's any argument [that] because a state legalizes marijuana, that the federal law against marijuana is no longer in existence," Sessions said. "I do believe that the federal laws clearly are in effect in all 50 states and we will do our best to enforce the laws as we are required to do so."
I'm keeping my medical card. Not that Session will respect that either, but might help when the Feds decide to crack down. Also allows me to grow a few plants of my own without any hassle from the local cops or HOA.
>Californians will wake up in a state with legalized recreational weed on Monday, but they'll also be bummed out by reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions—a known marijuana Grinch—may try to keep locals from freely enjoying their new right to get high.
Federal agents may be out looking for people with pot at eight Border Patrol checkpoints within California, according to the Associated Press. That could mean that Californians carrying legal weed may still have it taken away by agents of the federal government, which still considers pot illegal.
Federal laws supersede state laws. As a result, marijuana detected by Border Patrol is still illegal, regardless of a person's state citizenship.
"Prior to January 1, it's going to be the same after January 1, because nothing changed on our end," Ryan Yamasaki, an assistant chief of the Border Patrol's San Diego sector told the AP. "If you're a federal law enforcement agency, you uphold federal laws."
..."You can't have the president of the United States of America talking about marijuana like it is no different than taking a drink,” Sessions said at the time. “It is different. … It is already causing a disturbance in the states that have made it legal."
...“Good people don’t smoke marijuana," he said at a Senate hearing in 2016.
So nancy the sky is falling lol .The neighbors grew 1500 lbs all trimmed and sold . I have 4 customers that have done the same 3 /500 lb harvests this summer . I guess the feds couldn't get their shit together to come to humboldt and eradicate the 3500 seen on goolge earth illegal grows and the 1800 permitted grows just in humboldt. .
There is a glut of herbage here in Oregon. I grow my own (and have my own glut and have trouble even giving it away) so the market doesn't affect me personally, but I have friends in the business. Apparently, folks are just sitting on literally tons of weed and moving it is the big problem right now. Prices are crazy low and its seems that most of the money is made shipping it back east (don't tell Jeff Sessions). When recreational first went legal, the dispensary prices were much higher than the gray market, but prices have since dropped even there for the custies, suburbanites, and tourists who frequent those establishments. Its a buyers' market and I guess it sucks for the trimmers who keep getting batches returned for more tight manicuring demanded by the buyers.
Every week or so, you hear of someone from Oregon getting busted in Nebraska with a U-Haul load of ganja and concentrates. There was some fool who got busted a couple of weeks ago at PDX airport with five pounds in his carry on bag. He apparently acted surprised and admitted he has flown back east like that at least 15 times over the past year.
The launch of legal commercial marijuana sales commences January 1, and several retail outlets should see long lines. You can go shopping in Oakland, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Berkeley, Eureka, Ukiah and a few other places.

Real people, with real mouths to feed have less dollars in their pockets; as the costs of schools, foods & fuel continues to increase in our country.
