Why don't adults practice playing baseball?

Forums:

So many adults absolutely suck at hitting and throwing and fielding but they don't do anything to get better.

Why?

I can coach you if you want to get better.

Don't play ball like a girl. Your bros will laugh at you.

Uh-oh, I’ve seen people get in trouble for dropping the “play like a girl” thing lately. I’m not sure if “play like a fag” is ok either these days. It really makes you have to think how to describe people who can’t throw a baseball properly.

Baseball is likely the last arena where Trump supporters cheer for Latinos.

Baseball racists always refer to their favorite players as red asses.

Slacker was probably at his kids practice and saw some gay dudes throwing a ball to each other.

San Diego has some pretty good leagues with players getting really good instruction from capable adult players.

Is that a batting cage on a roof?

Most people don't play baseball.

So, they also don't practice.

  Bill Buckner’s son?

throwing like a girl isn't a sexist insult it was more about the form of the throw

then it morphed into a sexist insult by ball players

PS - Madison Bumgarner is going to be traded to the Boston Red Sox any day now.

I wish I could throw like a girl. Think Jennie Finch!

Most adult men only have 2.5 friends. Not even enough to staff the infield.

That looks like a softball,  Slacker.

That guy should have skipped bicep day and gone to fielding-ground-balls day instead

The backward hat while playing infield say's it all

on the east coast during the 90's he would have been described as a jabroni

playing with his 3rd grade baseball glove ain't helping much...

Don't know which I hate more, the stupid wearing the cap backwards, or men who wear the cap indoors at a restaurant, its a toss up in my book.

^How do you feel about visors?

indoors? imo a man should always take headgear off while indoors

^How about sunglasses indoors?

also a no

^^ doesn't make it right just because a former President did it, its my personal feeling get over it. it's a dumb look and totally defeats the purpose of the brim, KEEP THE FUCKING SUN OUT OF YOUR EYES, also helps keep the skin just a tad more protected from skin cancer. Never had it? you are lucky I've been hit twice plus neck cancer it ain't fun

^I'm not mad, Elvis, but the visor makes my hair stick straight up,  looks rather silly, so i keep it on.

I also have prescription sunglasses,  i kinda need them to see, so i will wear them indoors.

I'm scared  of the skin cancer too, wear lots of sunscreen as well

OCLT

I wear regular glasses that become sunglasses outside (transitional I think they are called ) so until they change when I walk indoors I guess I'm guilty as well :)  I have very little hair left so ni issue with it sticking up , its all good brother, sometimes I think reading on threads is an attack and I'm sorry for that, still can't figure out basic questions or trolling, maybe I shouldn't go online

No worries, Elvis, my eyes are sensitive to light, so sometimes i need to wear the sunglasses indoors. I chose not to get the transitions for that reason.  I also don't care for carrying a second set of glasses with me, so i stick with the sunglasses during the day.

If you ever see a middle aged guy wearing a visor and sunglasses indoors,  come and say hello If it's me, I'll buy you a drink

same goes for me if you find yourself in nyc, zeke and rik can point me out, i'll be the old, bald ugly, guy

^You described about 10% of the folks on Manhattan Island.  I really don't make it to NY much these days,  although I did get to Brooklyn in April for John Prine.

Thinking about going back for the Raconteurs.

Raconteurs looks good what are the dates?, Kings Theater? Being Brooklyn born and bred mean meaning to see what they did to the place

they are playing 9/5&6 at manhattan center much easier for me to get to but that place sucks, saturday 9/7, wife working in er , who knows when she will be home, son off to college, hum, maybe i should hit this

never mind just checked price, average was $125 plus fee, I like them, not that much

Not cheap for sure, but my wife is a Jack White fan and this is the only band of his that i like.

Kings theater is beautiful.

I definitely be at the Dweezil Zappa show at the bergan pac in September. Hot Rats Anniversary Tour!

And my son and I just might be at MSG for Tyler the Creator

place looks great, but the price is steep for them, god knows i've paid that for  others, have fun, don't forget NYCH w/Nils MSG sometime in the Fall, now that's gonna cost $$, but I am so there

^depending on the day of the week, i would also consider philly for NYCH. Heck, maybe there will be a show in Brooklyn or Newark. Weekends are preferable. Have a kid in high school and one in middle school, the day starts early around here.

taking your hat off indoors is one of those things that your mom tells you to do when you are a kid and when you ask why she says something about how it is polite, then you ask why it is polite and she responds "it just is" or "because i said so" and angrily changes the subject

Dude in that last (non-architecture) pic looks a bit like Schmegg.

Anyone seen him out & about?  Can't picture him doing DeadCo toursmiley

I wear a hat outdoors to prevent more skin cancer. I don't want to leave it somewhere so I usually wear it indoors, too, when I'm away from home.
