Think I heard they will return to Napa in late summer...those shows were fun!

Have fun Ken and Tim!

Hope Dave Schools is all better after his medical issues.

I wish they'd do another Wood tour

Cool Tim.   Let's definitely pre-funk before you eat the L so I can actually find you. wink

And let's keep in the loop on Saturday tix!

before you eat the L >>>>>>>>>

Have a good time!   That's a cool spot for a show.

Maybe you'll see this guy ....

Widespread Panic this weekend.

Stay calm

Pouring rain this morning, but hopefully it will clear up before show time.   Our seats are outside the covered area of the amphitheater.

Pre-funk last night with a local GD band called "One Good Ring."   Not the greatest Dead cover band I have seen, but fun and free down in the colonial quarter. Jerry dude looked way too much like Jerry and even dressed like him.  Lots of freeks mixing with tourists who just stumbled across the show and the bartender had to explain to one of the locals that Widespread Panic was in town.

Show was last was fun last night.  Took the band a couple songs to find their stride, but it took off from there.   Dave did a little rap about being out of action for Chicago.

Did all our Shakedown Street shopping last night, so will probably wait until closer to showtime to walk down to the venue.  That "One Good Ring" local band is playing the parking lot, but don't feel a compelling need to see them again and would rather take a nap instead.

Tim, did the Mrs. find tix for tonight?   We waited and waited for some to show up on Cash or Trade, but the pickings were slim and the few for sale we were able to put offers on were snapped up quick by others.  Ended up paying the Stubhub fees ($$$) for a pair up in the rafters, but that is where we like to be.   Anyway, let's try to meet up tomorrow if you are down for it.   There is a great taco place right across A1A from the bungalow we are staying at out behind the parent's place and you are more than welcome to pre-funk/park here if you want.

Funny thing about WSP Panic shows in the South is the frat boy contingent.  Groups of 20 clean(er) cut college age guys in their WSP shirts and no chicks with them.

Damn that's a pretty classic setlist there. Nice job Ken!

Is that Petty's Honey bee?

Yes it was.  Two Tom Petty encores over two nights.  I sense a theme and dude was from around these parts.

Honey Bee is such a fantastic song.   If you haven't seen the recent Wildflowers Documentary, check it out.  It's amazing.

We have been getting a show posters to put up in the little bungalow behind the parents' place where we stay when we come down here.   Here is the latest addition:

Section 304

Started with Halloween Face to end first set then by Party at your Mamma's house it had taken on a new form.

The lighthouse started to shake, as the night wore on it was more and more visible. Then the lasers started to shoot out of it. Flying so close to the tent top of the venue, our only saving grace was the wind making impact very difficult and my cat like reflexes saving our entire section. It almost seemed to me Dave Schools bass was causing this lighthouse uprise, the lasers were shooting out of it with every note he played. Most people headed my pleas and warnings but a few thought I was off my rocker.

We made it out of there by the skin of our teeth. The bicycle rick a shaw driver was smoking meth on the way to our car. Now that was very interesting ride.

I wont see Ken next year either, I am an illusion.

the frat boy contingent.  Groups of 20 clean(er) cut college age guys in their WSP shirts and no chicks with them<<<

I often move if I find myself next to such a group.   It's often just too challenging.

Hope the shows are fun!

Wild times Tim and the lighthouse is always a nice touch.  Yeah, some of those pedicab drivers looked a little rough.

Sunday night was the best of the run musically and otherwise.   Although all the shows sold out, it seemed way less crowded, the frat boys were gone, and only the strange remained.

Will be back down next month for Billy Strings.

Wish I could of made the big show at the big tent, glad you had fun Ken & Tim

End of second set, when things got strange, real strange.

Sections 301 and 304 are newer sections, to get more seats in, $$$$$$

They used to be grassy flat GA areas, brought in bleachers about 8 years ago.

I like it up there to keep away from crowds and ringing ears, my wife says she feels dis connected up there and she doesn't like the packed crowds down stairs either.

Enjoy the Billy show there, Im seeing him in Tampa because of my yearly fishing trip

Tim you are my fave illusion

shows were fab from the couch !
