Wilco RCMH 10/12

Forums:

On sale Friday, I’m hoping for another show on 10/11 as I have to be in Kingston NY from the 12th thru 14 for a wedding

Presale today at 10.

Anybody have the code?

Nice! They’re playing other dates outside of the tri-state area too in case there are people here who don’t live in NY/NJ/CT

That’s bummer about the wedding Bruce can you blow it off? Most marriages end in divorce anyway

I have the code Thom. And in the spirit of being a kind, generous American, I’ll let you have it in spite of your occasional nonsense: CasinoQueen

”casino queen” is an old song of theirs

bump for Thom

Missed it, had a meeting.

But many thanks, much appreciated.

Well that was irritating.  I went in late and there were good seats listed as available but every time I selected them i was told they were already gone.

Give it a try Friday.

Got 'em!!!!!

Just had to keep reloading until what I assume is a discarded pair came up.

First balcony fourth row.

Many thanks Bucky.

Bucky

can't blow off the wedding, its my nephew

YW Thom, glad you got in!

Bummer Elvis, understood.

The best part is that I get to take a very old friend who was born in Brooklyn and has never been in the place.  In 1980 a mutual friend had one ticket to the 10/30/80 Dead show and I took it, even though we were living together at the time.  She has always reminded me that this kind of pissed her off, so after 39 years I get to make restitution.  She's the one who turned me onto Wilco so it seemed like the right thing to do, and since it's a few days after her birthday I can give her the tickets as a present.

Thom - are you courting another woman?

Nope, just sharing music with one of those rare people who are on the same wavelength.

cool!

I was also kidding.

I know, not a problem.  This person is one of my closest friends, 42 years of life together, and as far as music goes we share an indefinable compatibility.  As I get older I realize just how rare and special that is.

I might be in DC on October 15, but still too early to invest in tickets.

Speaking of Wilco, I just finished Jeff Tweedy's book.   Entertaining and quick read.
