Wow ! That was really good . I left wanting for nothing. Great set list played excellently . The Stanford Symphony Orchestra were superb . They were part of the band doing the transition from song to song solo in some case like China Cat into IKYR. Great venue too.
it seems like the golden carrot of barry sless playing lead guitar in a phil and/or bob show is constantly being dangled in front of my face. was happy to catch one of the rare ones that went down at TXR. its usually almost there but not quite - barry in a 3-4 guitar lineup with another strong lead, barry on pedal steel only, or in this case, drowned out by a literal orchestra. which isnt to say it sounds bad, the video posted sounds like a pretty good show TBH.
I find it an interesting dynamic that I can walk out feeling I've seen a very special epic show with sounds I could only have dreamed of years ago like Weather Report and at a siding - terrapin flyer w a full on symphony orchestra and others hear nails on a chalk boards
I hear you Eggman. The WRS and Terrapin were beyond stunningly good. The Dark Star and Other One was downright psychedelic. That show way exceeded expections, but to each their own.
Must have required a garbage bag full of joints....
