Woman's march - sign suggestions?

Forums:

1960s sign (6).jpg

My honey and I are marching next weekend and want to make some signs.  Any zoner suggestions?

"Just try to grab it, Donald. Just try."

Thanks for marching.

Interwebs have some fun to offerHwyBcY9.jpg

Take a look on http://www.feministapparel.com/ They have all the slogans.

My daughter just got me an "I'm a Nasty Woman" t-shirt.

We're angry snowflakes who lost or we didn't care when Bill was president but this times different. Both would make good signs.

Thanks Brian

Fafa - why do the winners seem more angry than the losers?  Can't figure that one out .....

Lol. Fafa is just angry, has nothing to do with Trump. That is a great question though. I have noticed a lot of angry winners. It's just too much. There is no way to meet in the middle that way, and if you support Trump, and are angry, you support separation, and that is exactly what him and the 1% want. Most Trump supporters have no clue what this means.

See you ar the march

Sorry Judit

Have never even been to the politics folder in years of zoning

STICK IT TO THE MAN

Creek/dead fast at least I'm not angry enough to beat on women, you at the March is a bit of an oxymoron from a moron!

This must be a pro-Trump rally? A majority of white women voted for him, after all.

"Grab this...."

All attendees should wear yellow rain jackets for protection

You heard me wrong. I grabbed her by the Jina

Unity Principles

We believe that Women’s Rights are Human Rights and Human Rights are Women’s Rights. We must create a society in which women - including Black women, Native women, poor women, immigrant women, Muslim women, lesbian queer and trans women - are free and able to care for and nurture their families, however they are formed, in safe and healthy environments free from structural impediments.

ENDING VIOLENCE

Women deserve to live full and healthy lives, free of all forms of violence against our bodies. We believe in accountability and justice in cases of police brutality and ending racial profiling and targeting of communities of color. It is our moral imperative to dismantle the gender and racial inequities within the criminal justice system.

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS

We believe in Reproductive Freedom. We do not accept any federal, state or local rollbacks, cuts or restrictions on our ability to access quality reproductive healthcare services, birth control, HIV/AIDS care and prevention, or medically accurate sexuality education. This means open access to safe, legal, affordable abortion and birth control for all people, regardless of income, location or education.

LGBTQIA RIGHTS

We firmly declare that LGBTQIA Rights are Human Rights and that it is our obligation to uplift, expand and protect the rights of our gay, lesbian, bi, queer, trans or gender non-conforming brothers, sisters and siblings. We must have the power to control our bodies and be free from gender norms, expectations and stereotypes.

WORKER’S RIGHTS

We believe in an economy powered by transparency, accountability, security and equity. All women should be paid equitably, with access to affordable childcare, sick days, healthcare, paid family leave, and healthy work environments. All workers – including domestic and farm workers, undocumented and migrant workers - must have the right to organize and fight for a living minimum wage.

CIVIL RIGHTS

We believe Civil Rights are our birthright, including voting rights, freedom to worship without fear of intimidation or harassment, freedom of speech, and protections for all citizens regardless of race, gender, age or disability. We believe it is time for an all-inclusive Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

DISABILITY RIGHTS

We believe that all women’s issues are issues faced by women with disabilities and Deaf women. As mothers, sisters, daughters, and contributing members of this great nation, we seek to break barriers to access, inclusion, independence, and the full enjoyment of citizenship at home and around the world. We strive to be fully included in and contribute to all aspects of American life, economy, and culture.

IMMIGRANT RIGHTS

Rooted in the promise of America’s call for huddled masses yearning to breathe free, we believe in immigrant and refugee rights regardless of status or country of origin.  We believe migration is a human right and that no human being is illegal.

ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE

We believe that every person and every community in our nation has the right to clean water, clean air, and access to and enjoyment of public lands. We believe that our environment and our climate must be protected, and that our land and natural resources cannot be exploited for corporate gain or greed - especially at the risk of public safety and health.

I'm with stupid.

A friend asked me to make her this button to wear this weekend in DC

Guardian of Democracy.png

I thought political threads were in a different folder

> A majority of white women voted for him, after all. <

Fuck the White Women!!

Yes, Felina, pretty much every city of size will have at least one demonstration on Jan 20. There is also a call for a nationwide one day general strike. There is a shut down of the federal building in Oakland that morning, followed by some marching, and then you can go to SF, where I think there is something at UN Plaza at 5 pm.  In Sacto there are 5 locations to meet up and march toward the capitol (should be federal building, but no one asked my opinion).  I've also heard noon at Justin Hermann Plaza in SF.

Wish I could be in DC for this.  Spread the word, Jan 18 there's a queer dance party at Mike Pence's house.

This is awesome!! I wonder if expats are protesting at the embassy that night. I wouldn't go, but maybe there's a cam.

see you kids there

(how do you post pictures?!?!?)

There are instructions under the Formatting link to the left. 1200 x 1200 size limit.

Use the green rectangle in the tool bar.

(per Zooey in the How to Post Images on Viva last posted in at like 4:37 today)

"Marijuana, do you wanna?"

a shit ton more design-y posters and protest art.

To be fair, this should be in the politics folder. It's as political as anything else.

Please move this to where it belongs.

A friend made this

respect existance_expect resistance_0.jpg

Test from an old school lurker/viva zoner.

Success.  Now how do you post pics?  Working on protest gear tonight.  Oakland in the a.m.

Thx admins.

Greetings. You can go to Formatting to find a link to posting images or go to this thread here in OS - people are finding it easy to post pics, you'll see.

Thanks for going tomorrow!

I think Lily ordered a shirt with that slogan en Espanol, Judit.

I made a S-load of choc-chip for her bus-mates.

Which slogan, Bluest? And thank Lily for going. They will be very happy to have chocolate chip cookies, I'm sure.

"Respect...Resistance, J.

I can see why, it's such a good one. Please wish her well.
