SUNDAY

Wind north 15 to 20 knots...becoming northeast 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Gusts to 25 knots. Wind waves around 4 feet. Mixed swell northwest 1 to 2 feet at 12 seconds and south 2 to 5 feet at 17 seconds. A chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms.

MONDAY
Wind east 25 knots...becoming southwest in the afternoon. Gusts to 30 knots. Wind waves around 8 feet. Mixed swell west 1 to 2 feet at 12 seconds and southeast 2 to 3 feet at 10 seconds. Showers likely in the morning. A slight chance of thunderstorms. A chance of showers in the afternoon.

MONDAY NIGHT
Wind southwest 15 knots...becoming around 10 knots after midnight. Wind waves around 3 feet in the evening...becoming 2 feet or less. Mixed swell west to 1 feet at 11 seconds and south 3 to 4 feet at 6 seconds. A chance of showers in the evening. A slight chance of thunderstorms.

Bring it. The forecast is for much cooler temps and a high probability of rain where I'm at early next week.

So looks like San Diego might be hit with a tropical storm.  Last time that happened was in 1939.   Flooding in the mountains will certainly be a concern and the surfing will be gnarly. 

Kay button hooked last year right at the end but caused a little damage to the San Diego area and now Hillary this year. I think we will see at least a cat 1 make landfall in CA in the next few years.
