Subaru Alternator died, so I missed most of the Northampton Iron Horse show.
I doubt my extended warantee still applies but as luck would have it the guy drinking next to me tonight works at a local Subaru dealership. He said he'd help me out tomorrow, so that kind of karma I can deal with.
Hope to see the Boyz in Portsmouth, NH Wednesday !!!

Yarn Fall Tour 2024 Update ~
Yarn Fall Tour 2024 Update ~ Yarn is right now. Some highlights/lowlights of this excursion...
* The Homestead in Morristown was fun, as always! Guest sit ins included Damian Calcagne on B3/Vocals, Uncle Cloudy on Harp/ Vocals & Maribyrd vocals. I wish every Tour stop had this big of a crowd!
* NYC City Winery ~ Expensive town to see anybody. Another Damian Calcagne appearance. The Solo Acoustic Abilene was worth the cost of admission alone!
* Northampton, MA was a great Venue, The Iron Horse, but this show was marred by my car battery dying causing me to miss 99% of the show.
* Portsmouth, NH. Press Room. So far, my favorite stop of the Tour. Afterward, Blake was so excited about the band and crowd energy, he wanted to hear the Taper's recordings right away! Got to hang with fellow Cranstockian Chris Korba... I love the City of Portsmouth!
* Portland, ME ~ I was going to skip this Tour stop, but I'm glad I didn't! Yarn has been sparse on Cover songs lately, but they dropped a few in here last night, including at least 2 Dire Straits tunes. (Money For Nothing & Walk Of Life) The crowd energy was great and the Portland House of Music is a cool room! I was so excited to successfully make my first-ever SBD / AUD Matrix recording. It's easy once you figure out the settings. Thanks to Taper Joe for the SBD Patch piggyback! Then, discovering Tomasso's dive bar after the show made my night! Killer dry Margueritas (no sour mix) and amazing bar food till 12:30am!
Yee Ha!
* Wilmington, VT ~ Tonight will be the last stop on this Tour for me.
I've put my request in with Blake, so we'll see if that flies...
Overall having a blast. Yarn is crackling with energy and the spontaneous Solo acoustic breaks Blake has been offering are quite sublime as well. Bobby & Ricky always deep in the pocket, with special Kudos & notices to Andrew Trongone who is a monster slide guitarist, giving the band a Southern, Allmany type sound at times.
Special notices to 2 of my favorite Yarniacs, Bob Petty & June Petty, who keep the Band Merch moving and the Energy always positive!!!
After Wilmington, VT tonight, tomorrow I will hit the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA for a glimpse at the MAD Magazine Exhibit running there. Looking forward to it!!!
